Meh, don’t sell unless you have to. Besides, that’s what kids are for. They can be passed down after you die so let them go through the agony of selling the engines. Hey!!!!! I’m not a newbie anymore.... and it only took 2 years.

I use the Pico Rail Cleaning stone. It’s an abrasive stone but does not sand down the rail like grit paper does.

Think this refers to our bi-monthly news sent out as emails from Ztrack/Rob Kluz? If that is not the case, we do not have plans for any AZL newsletters yet. No. On the American Z Line web page, on the right hand side and below the New Release banner, there is a box with a Santa Fe SD70 with the text ‘Sign up now for the AZL Newsletter’. So, if there are no plans for a newsletter, why have people sign up for something that is not going to exist? Very odd.

Does it exist or is the AZL Forum the place for AZL news? I signed up for the newsletter maybe 2 years ago now and have not received one yet.
if it doesn’t exist anymore, why bother having a signup on the AZL website?
just curious.

^^^^^. That’s a true statement. When I was in college, I tried to use the stove coil to smooth out a bow in the plastic shell of a Marklin engine. The end result was not pretty.

Thank ya'll for the replies. I've been busy with school, studying, etc so haven't been able to get on here. The engine is a class 74 steam locomotive that came with a ready to run kit. It ran very well for roughly 4 years, and quit working. I appreciate ya'll directing me over to Frank to help get it fixed. I have a good bit of HO which I currently have some in my bedroom, but HO just takes up too much space to make a real nice layout. If you ran it often in those 4 years, the brushes may be worn out. That's an easy fix. Just need small fingers or be good with small needle nose pliers to remove and install the new brushes. You'll see the brushes in the videos Tommy posted.

Okay, thanks. I have a mile of Marklin track which was an expensive pill to swallow for my current layout. It may not matter though as I am getting resistance from the other persons I share the house with. Something about not enough room and cost impacts. I just don’t understand her sometimes......

I’m thinking on expanding my layout which has Märklin track. I’d like to add a 2 line figure 8 created with flex track instead of the standard 30 and 45 degree bends. The new figure 8 would be an extension of two of my existing circuits. Since the new Atlas flex track is about half the cost of the Marklin flex, I’d like to use the Atlas instead.
Do the Marklin and Atlas tracks join together well? If not, is there another track that would or am I stuck using the Marklin track?
Thanks.

Just curious. I’ve been collecting the UP 100 Ton and 70 Ton Full Throttle hoppers and thinking its time for a loco to pull them on the layout. I’ve been debating on a pair of the SD45, GP30and now the GP7. Then I noticed the UP GP7 is part of Gen 1.
Would the GP7 round better paired up with the SD45 or the GP30.
Thanks.

‘This is going to be another fun six weeks of Friday announcements!’
Read this as: this is going to be hell on your wallets for the next six week . Who needs to eat anyway? A bag of Cheetos, Coors Light and AZL trains. What more does a Holiday season need.....

I have both the 90011 and the 90004 replacement trucks downstairs and the 90004 set are the correct set to use. While I haven’t done the physical replacement on my TTX Gundersons yet, the 90004 has the extended coupler.

^^^^^. Agree with all of the above. I have a 4 pack already but ended getting two more just because. Now I can run them on more than one train in multiple cars.
It would be nice to see the standard TTX boxcar come out next. Hint, hint.
