Well, that explains why i’ve Had a hard time connecting my TTX cars. I thought it was just the way the coupler was facing.

Will you be posting videos of the prototypes here for the ones who can't make it to the NTS?

Great, thanks for the info. I will likely go the touch replacement route to lower my frustration level.

Okay, slight thread drift. I have a couple old Kaydee pieces of rolling stock with plastic wheels and Marklin couplers. Can I replace the old trucks with AZL truck or would I have to get new MTL trucks and then replace the plastic wheels.

The beauty of running a non-landscaped track is I don't need to worry about eras and the proper engines for the landscape, etc. that being said, since I picked up the D&RGW F3, I find myself looking for more era specific rolling stock for it. This hobby is like guns and tattoos (or Lays Potato Chips): one can never have enough.
Thanks Hans and Rob for feeding the addiction.

The new DRGW heavyweight release is starting to grow on me. ......Ski Train!!!!! They look better in person. Yup, the bit me. Have the F3 and 11 of the 18 on order. We used to live near Denver and taken the Ski Train several times up to Winter Park. Can't wait for the package to arrive. Maybe I need a a second DRGW SD45 to pull that train. Hmmm.......

Don't think there are any set re,lease dates but, I agree the 1st and the 15th have become expectations. It's like being a kid and impatiently waiting for the new Sears catalogue to come out so we can see the new toys available for Christmas.

Those Procor tank cars are sharp. Have a 4 pack on the way.
What engin would you use to run those CP heavyweights? Steam only?

Coming home from work the other day I saw some Tate & Lyle 17,600 gallon tank cars in the yard by the highway. I thought AZL had produced a z scale copy but when I checked the website I did not find them.
Am I imagining things thinking there is a z scale version of the Tate & Lyle tank cars?

Hey, can the sd70 m2, fec handle a marklin 8530 curve, and will it run good on a marklin turnout. Yes. They can handle the 195mm curve as well. that being said, my CSX Ace is having a hard time running backwards through the the tighter radius. It runs fine going forward.

Go for it dazed. I'm working with AZL on the frame. Thanks Nscaler711 for the offer.
