modelwarships is right, the "minus" sign is a key search tool at eBay.
You can also just type "rokuhan z" or simply "rokuhan" and you will find a lot of items.

There's another thread about power controllers just a few days ago ( azlforum.com/thread/297/power-controllers) ... Rokuhan is certainly not junk; in fact their controllers are some of the best slow-speed capable controllers available (I ranked them 2nd on my list of 8 z controllers simply based on slow-speed operation). When held in the hands, the lightweight construction may lead you to think it is lower quality; but once you are running the trains you will see a solid controller operation. I tend to believe that there was simply a batch of RC-02's that had an issue, beyond that their products are solid.

markm: Kebukawa of Rokuhan says: "By the way, you need to use oscilloscope if you want to check pulse signal condition." I had tried to measure across the tracks and was not getting any variation of the value. Which mode of the DMM are you using when you get it to function and what model of DMM? I will attempt to duplicate your findings.
hoppy504: My customer who had a failed RC-02 was always measuring 12.5V across his tracks, very similar to your failure mode. OK, so you are in a non-USA location, then, and hence the a011. That sounds ok - I just wasn't familiar with that model # you had posted. Power holding and then dropping to zero... it sounds like a capacitive discharge effect. Something is wrong with your RC-02. Contact the dealer.

I have just purchased a Rokuhan RC-02 Controller and power adapter to replace a older Marklin unit. Having connected it to the layout I appear to have a problem, my AZL locomotives just sit humming without any lights and a Marklin loco just sits completely silent. Are there any suggestions as to what I have overlooked? The mains adapter is a switching unit ( rkh7297411 ) for 110-240v. thanks, John. John: I agree with markm. Don't use your loks any longer on this controller. There was a batch of RC-02's that put out full power at any throttle setting (if I recall correctly). Rokuhan was doing a pretty good job at replacing these defective units, but you have to contact your dealer. It is unclear which adapter you are using (rkh7297411) ... It doesn't sound like it is the Rokuhan A011U which is a model GF12-US1210: zscalehobo.com/photos/rokuhan/a011u_zsh1.jpg wondering if you have been supplied the right type of AC pack for this controller. That may be another culprit. Side note: Meters such as DMM's are useless on these pulsed power packs. You need an oscilloscope to read the output.

Thanks for asking this question, hoppy504! I agree with markm's comments and might add for others who may stumble upon this form ... you should use a controller designed for z scale! Any old power pack is not a good idea when running z scale.
The ability to crawl at very slow speeds is the ideal situation for controllers and a decent measuring stick for various z controllers.
Here is my personal ranking of slow speed control power units from best to not so best: 1. Lajos Thek's Snail Speed Controller or the panel mount version, Medvend AN-1-C (Z-Track exclusive) 2. Rokuhan RC-03/RC-02 (2 slightly different units with similar performance) 3. Noch 88161 Speed Controller and System Joerger Deluxe (similar, if not identical circuits) 4. Marklin 67020 Newer, smaller outline, lightweight, plastic white unit - not much experience here, but I think it has pulsed output but not as smooth as Rokuhan & Noch units) 5. Micro-Trains' MODIFIED MRC-1300 MTL#99513000 6. Marklin 67271 Heavy White Unit 7. Marklin 6727 Heavy Blue Unit 8. Marklin 9V Battery Controller
I either own or have owned all 9 of these and that is my observation while running Marklin (diesels, electric and steam), AZL diesels, MTL diesels...
Of course, when you factor in being able to power accessories, power turnouts, do you want a portable power pack or stationary power pack, etc ... the list changes.
I'd be interested to see others rankings of these packs and if I missed any!

The USPS agent told me it was my tracking number and I could track using it..plus it does appear on the DHL web site in Germany...just not where it is/was..but no matter. Hopefully Marklin will honour their warranty. Sorry for joining this conversation, but in my experience, you can lose track of shipment going to-from USA and Germany for up to 4 weeks! They literally go to the dark side of the moon. They do get there, eventually. First class, though, has been the one service I have had issues with in the past... But, don't put too much weight into the accuracy or real-time updating of a tracking number, especially when these two entities are teaming up (USPS and Deutsche Post). When possible, use a small flat rate box, it is only $23.50 to send something abroad FROM the USA. It's the best deal out there for USPS (which isn't saying much). Coming back from Germany to the USA Deutsche Post (DHL) is a lot more economical and you can choose between a Paket or Post Brief.

BTW I have placed bids on a couple of items you have on Ebay. Probably won't get them as there is currently some guy on there who is buying up every piece of rolling stock on Ebay and is outbidding everyone. Oh well. Hmm... I have zero auctions running ... I exclusively use fixed price listings. You may be thinking of another seller. My handle is my business name "z.scale.hobo" always has been since early in 2000. As for bidding, try a sniping service instead of bidding and then "camping out" for days on that bid. I use www.gixen.com ... you tell them how high you wish to bid ahead of time and then they enter the bid for you at the last seconds. It's a free service. Bidding too early opens you up to competing bidders who can sit and think before bidding and it increases the chance you get caught up in a bidding "frenzy." Sometimes the adrenaline rush of the bidding frenzy will make you bid amounts you wouldn't normally bid. Early bidding can also open you up to "shill bidding" by unscrupulous sellers who want to drive up the selling price by "feeling out" your proxy bids. Anyway, just some auction bidding advice...

Paraphrasing one of the greatest Z scalers of the world. If you see it now, you better get it, or it will be gone tomorrow. Boxcarwilly: Another place to try is AJCKids ... Guy has all of these items listed on his site. Maybe between his inventory and mine we can finish your layout. That's some good advice, burlingtonroute... thanks! :-)

I can second the experience with the GP38... my SP unit went from the box onto the tracks and was able to crawl straight away. Nice product, AZL! Excited to have a great performing locomotive that retails in the $100 neighborhood. It's a big boost to z scale!
