Just wondering when ES44AC are going to make a show ? See here: azlforum.com/post/5838/threadsnippet: Feb 5, 2016 10:34:06 GMT -7 Hans Riddervold (AZL) said: A little update. Hi, is the color of the WP1983 green or gray? I hope it is a lighting issue in this picture. /Frank There was a previously-released image on page 1 of this thread: azlforum.com/post/5666/thread

so what is the white shell? An RP, styrene or stripped MTL GP35? Appears to be an undec GP38-2 which should be (what i glean from the author's assumption) at the same height as the SD45.

See you in Lahnstein at the weekend! Sven & Dirk Hi Dom: Sven mentioned above a show in Lahnstein. But on the page he linked, using Google Chrome (among other browsers), you can instantly translate pages when you open it. Comme ça, il est plus facile de comprendre l'allemand. Et aussi le francais. Mais, je déjà parle Français ... un peu. Must be amazing to see that diorama in person. It is a work of art.

Hi Admin, I just bought the new AZL SD45, but it does not run well on my small layout of Rokuhan track. The front of the loco tends to jump the track around curves and in switches. It appears that the truck coupler hits the drop down steps at the end of the loco shell when going around curves. Can anyone suggest a fix? The loco came with a different set of couplers attaching directly to the loco, rather than the trucks -- what are these for? I tried replacing the couplers but the front of the truck coupler still protrudes and hits the steps. Any help on this issue would be greatly appreciated. Chuck What radius are the curves on your small layout? I would tend to think that the SD45 prefers R220mm and above, and may run on R195's. The extra parts are described in the manufacturer's blurb as "add-on details (pilot and plow)." Your first line of contact should always be the dealer. If they will not help you, then you can reach out to AZL. While they may answer here in this thread right now, AZL does a direct contact page for support; it was discussed in this thread: azlforum.com/thread/387/azl-customer-support

Wipes and such work well but don't take oxidation/corrosion off metal. (cleaning) hidden track although access is provided is a nuisance. I apologize in advance if this is construed as nickeling and diming the community ... but there are a couple of actual released products that allow access into hard-to-reach locations. Viessmann 7840: This is an HO & N product that I am bringing in to see if it can work for z, since the pricing is so attractive: zscalehobo.com/viessmann/7840.html (it's a plastic arm/tool and includes pads). Peter Post 08104: And then there is the dedicated Z scale metal tool version from Peter Post that I have in stock (a more comprehensive and expensive kit): www.zscalehobo.com/peter_post/08104.htmlThe N scale version of the Peter Post tool actually telescopes. However the head is quite a bit larger. I have had Z customers buy the N version simply due to the additional reach and they like it.

A little update. We are not far off from launching our new SD70ACe locomotives. The ES44AC locomotives were scheduled to follow closely afterwards. What we will do is to speed up the P42 and Superliners. Expect the Amtrak products before the ES44AC. No exact timeframe yet, but maybe end of Summer. We will post artwork as they become available. We will do different Superliner paint schemes for sure. One of my customers who just placed a pre-order pointed me to these kato items for paint schemes. Do these look accurate, Hans? www.katousa.com/HO/Superliner/index.htmlI also searched out a lot of the locomotive and rolling stock prototypes and referenced the photos on my site's pages: LINK

Okay...pay $6.50 for back-issue information you can get for free through online/forums or just give him your opinion since he asked? psffht... And this is why we have a forum. Different members present different ideas. Honestly, I do not know much about the Gaugemaster and yet I knew it was just featured in Ztrack magazine. Hence, the hat tip to Rob K's wonderful publication that we all refer to as a go-to location for information. I saw a question that was just covered in detail in print, why not point to it?

Good afternoon....anyone have any experience with the Gaugemaster track cleaner? I am curious if they are worth the cost, how well they work, are they compatible with Rokuhan controllers, etc. Thanks for your input. Rob Kluz just featured this very topic in Ztrack, pick up your back issue here: www.ztrack.com/issues/issues_15.htmlFrank Daniels

For those of you using Rokuhan track with their power connectors, what are you using for power distribution under the layout? On my layout, I would imagine I will have 8-12 power cords and I am looking for the best way to connect them all together. Photos would be awesome if possible. Thanks for your help. Easiest, but not most cost effective, is to use A029 ... Rokuhan's Power Feeder Y-Cable.

Please don`t forget to give us your opinion about the right background for the next model railroader convention in February. Your opinion is important for us! Best, Sven Sven: I like "dramatic clouds" in the post above. Frank Daniels

I was thinking of using it to make some very gently curves on one long side. First, I want to see if the 490mm curves will work and if not, I will try the flex track. Regarding ballasting, are there any videos out there of someone demonstrating ballasting Rokuhan track? I have zero experience painting, weathering or ballasting track. Thanks for your help. Aside from the threads on this board where there are several descriptions, just hit YouTube and check ballasting Kato unitrack. It's pretty much the same process. I found dozens of videos for that search.

Interesting choice for the E8. What were your thoughts and plans behind this selection? I wonder if it was in order to more easily adapt to existing Marklin rolling stock:

Was this a wild guess or do you have a 7 hour advanced notice ahead of dealers?
