Will the DZ123Z0 decoder work with the latest AZL GP38-2's that were released earlier this spring? Yes. I found the install in the new GP38's is super simple now. The casting is cleaner and you can look under the installed Decoder and visually verify that the tabs are making contact with the motor tabs.

I have limited experience with Archistories kits, but I am impressed not only with their detail, but the structural engineering that goes into them.

I have both Burl 208 and 210. Are they the only road numbers available? Also are these the last generation GP's?

Stocked up on SD70's. Now to figure out how to turn them into Oakway SD60's. Hmmm SD45 trucks, grill work, blower housing, weatherization hatch an paint. I think I need to enlist Gerd to help on this one.

How about releasing some new BN "White face" paint schemes?

F40PH, C30-7, and SD60(M), just a few that I would love to see.

I have a 3 unit set of SD45's and have run them with a wide variety of other AZL engines with no problems. The only problems I have encountered is trying to MU AZL with MTL as the speed tables are drastically different. I tend to pair up engines that run at the same speeds so none are pulling or pushing too much as this lends to derailments.

I added a couple of new engines to help keep those double stacks rolling.
Test fitting an awesome, but severely chopped REA Transfer Warehouse into the layout drawer edge as a background building.

This is so much easier on the new GP38 chassis with the motor tabs sticking up further where you can actually see them making contact.

I just added decoders to my Frisco GP38's and I want to say THANK YOU for the improved contact connection with the light board/decoder. The decoder is now truly drop-in and you can actually see exactly where the contacts come together. Bravo Zulu AZL!

Gerd does everything from custom paint to scratchbuilding. I have a U30C he built for me on the MT SD40-2 chassis and a GP50 on an AZL GP38 chassis with orders in for others. He is very much in demand and the work is worth waiting for.

In light of all the cool new loco releases I figured the CN railway needed an expansion. Enlarged the original layout by 50% and made space for some industry without looking crowded. Pretty neat to pull a 50+ car train and not have it tail to nose anymore! Scenery up next. I like the grain elevators. Can you show more views? Especially the one that resembles the HO Walthers one.

Dang it Doug! What did you go and show this for?! Not you got me wondering how to fit a laptop into my coffee table layout. That means I need to invest in dcc decoders for the turnouts and I already have a nicely functioning analog setup.

Thank you for the pics. The answer to DCC may be to dummy one truck and stuff it in. But lets hope Digitrax and TCS have a better solution. Will the SW1500 share that board?
