This would have been my first guest since it's been in development longest and was announced last year. But since it was announced last year and had pre-orders taken on it, does it still count as "newly announced products at NTS 2017"? Although we've seen advance pictures and discussions of the Krauss, I would think it does count since NTS 2017 is the "official showing and announcing" of new AZL products. Also, Hans gave a possible timeline earlier. You're right.... I was away from modeling for few months....Still have lot of "new" posts left to read!

Charlie we are taking reservations for the J. You have your choice between locomotive only, or locomotive with car sets. Email me at: robkluz@ztrack.com to place your reservation. Am I allowed to guess?? Ok, thank you for the answer. A new locomotive would be too much for my wallet at this time..., the only thing I really do not want to miss is the CZ passenger sets!

We have no firm release dates. Krauss-Maffei´s, Outside Braced Box Cars and Lightweights probably later this year. F7s, California Zephyr and Maxi Stack I´s probably before next Summer. Heavyweight Combine Fall 2018. J class 18-24 months from now. Will the F7s come DCC ready?

A follow-up to the Missouri Pacific Eagle discussion. The MoPac Historical Society is happy to assist manufacturers who want to model MoPac equipment. They have many of the railroad's archives including painting diagrams with color descriptions. You can contact them at mfrhelp@mopac.org or browse the website at www.mopac.org.

Hans, back in August, you thought the lightweights would be in later 2017; any estimate now since you are waiting on a production slot?

Yes, please let us know if there is a list for preorder. Locomotives to be made are 600, 604, 607, 610 and 611 604 and 610 are only available with passenger cars (a set of 5 coaches, 1 diner, and 1 round end observation car) 611 is available as a stand alone locomotive, or with a set of passenger cars (unique road numbers on the passenger cars packaged with the 611) All passenger cars are painted in the Powhatan Arrow livery. Send Rob Kluz an email ztrack@aol.com to be put on the list. We will have more updates on the proper reservation process later, but an email will keep your place in line for now. And thanks for the support! Hello. I have being saving for the BIG N&W J project since my reservation by e-mail was acknowledged, on August 2017 . Since this is an important venture, with many sponsors on my side (wife, friends, relatives etc.) I would like to know what are the next steps in the reservation process. At a certain point, shall I send some money to secure my reservation? Will the sale be completed through AZL Direct online store? Excuse me if mine are stupid questions, but this is the first time I pre-order anything. Furthermore, I am so excited about the new locomotive that I cannot wait for updates

At a certain point, shall I send some money to secure my reservation? Will the sale be completed through AZL Direct online store? Excuse me if mine are stupid questions, but this is the first time I pre-order anything. Furthermore, I am so excited about the new locomotive that I cannot wait for updates Great questions. A "pre-order" is a bit of an odd term. It ranks up there with other impossibilities such as "pre-boarding" an aircraft. To us, it really means a no-fee reservation - a good will expression of interest that helps us allocate production and determine interest in a product. In exchange, we will make a locomotive for you and trust that you will buy it when we deliver. It really is just mutual trust. So if you have sent an email reserving a unit, then you will have the opportunity to buy it when it is ready. At the moment, I think the earliest possible delivery date is fall of 2018. Cheers! -Rob(A) AZL
