Thanks for the picture of the chassis.
I was hoping that an ES44AC chassis could be used with a brass Dash-9 shell, but it does not look like a drop in replacement. The brass Dash-9 chassis have flat smooth sides (likely for the insulation shell).

Oh it fits like a dream just a little loose, enough room to add some insulation like kapton tape only thing keeping shell from dropping down to the tank are the couplers. Even the tank matches the brass one. I will do a write up on the conversion with a santa fe unit I have (silver trucks and tank). thinking about getting someone from shapeways to build a 3d printed plastic adaptor.

No Problem, I have a 3D printer at work that I want to use to make an adaptor out of ABS including proper holes for fiber optics to run lighting. will keep you updated.

BNSF is not my road either, but I always like to buy the first release jut to see how it runs.

I was...until AZL inexplicably decided that the most ubiquitous locomotive scheme in existence today (besides UP of course) wasn't really something anyone would really want. So since it will be 4 years before they consider doing it again, I figure I had to hedge my bets and buy ONE of the Swoosh (which in all honesty will likely be my last Z scale locomotive purchase, but never say never right) just to have one GE to run on the TRE/DGNO layout. Pretty well impossible to model BNSF without GE's, and difficult to model without the Heritage-II scheme. I'll fudge and use the H-II SD75 as a stand-in until I move to HO in a few years.
