Well, while planning out all the details, think "Daylight" and "City."

NMRA National Train Show is July 12-14 in Salt Lake City. It would be great to run and load up that BFY (a.k.a. Big F'n Yard) with another AZL release !!!

Hans, without disclosing too much, is there any railroad you would like to suggest, as far as a potential EMD E8 purchase is concerned? As some locos are going indefinitely out of stock, I do not want to regret missing the opportunity to match them with the corresponding lightweights :-)

Overall, I think we are in pretty good shape. The only E units that appear to be unavailable on the marketplace is the ATSF A-B set. Since they ran mostly Budd cars, I don't see an issue. The list AZL published last year seems to cover nearly all the major roads, but I'm guessing that they won't know until RobK finishes counting cars.
These cars were also pulled by ACs, GS's, and a variety of F units, even GPs, so there are a lot of options. That said, it probably wouldn't hurt to pick-up a locomotive or two of your favorite road.

The UP E9 A-B sets also appear to be sold out at most major distributors. Sometimes the Marklin versions show up on flea-bay but they are sold separately and usually shipped from European sellers (higher shipping to the States) and you'll have to change the couplers. Of course the Milwaukee Road versions are still readily available.

Besides the already produced passenger locomotives, we are planning future reruns of E8s and F3s. Also expect the first F7 run. And we are always looking at other locomotives to produce as well. What we cannot manage at the moment is to have simultaneous production of passenger cars and locomotives. But, we will have locomotives for all our lightweight passenger cars within a year. The release schedule of the upcoming lightweights is UP to Robert to decide. First lightweights will be out in February.

"UP to Robert to decide", is that a Union Pacific hint? Let's see...AZL has done GS-3 & 4 in both black and Daylight, brass E7,E8(9) and PA in Daylight, AC-12s, a brass Daylight set, a HW Sunset Limited set and a HW Daylight set. I think I see a pattern... The first release will be C&NW.

Oh come now. Do you really think that Rob would troll us like that? In a word: yes. Or it could be me. After all there is a possibility that everything I've suggested in this thread could come true in the first release. Mark
