Doug I display and run my z collection. N scale and O are in different display cases. Nice display! Yeah, I display my Z and N stuff too, but I don't buy anything in either scale ONLY for display, which is what I was referencing. Thanks Doug Need another case to separate east and west coast rr. I have the west still in jewel cases except for the WP and DR&G which you see.

Who makes the little cars; are they Z, and where can they be purchased, please ? Bought them off eBay or won the bid. Little expensive, try to win a few at a time to cut down on shipping cost. scroll through the Z scale items for bid . You’ll fine 3 different sellers.

PS AZL it’s not my fault Monongahela heritage is collecting dust on your shelves. I own 4 of them. So don’t give up on east coast rr . We z scalers are few and far apart. I support all you do for us and appreciate it.

Another point to be made . Sales are Geographically made on some scales I think. You guys bring up NS heritage units in z scale not selling out fast or warehouse dust collectors. So it is ,I believe that eastern US z scalers are few and far apart. As west and mid west are more . Probably is why UP and BNSF does well. I’ve always been a fan of z but my friends are O and HO collectors . We were talking the other day about the new CSX heritage units coming this fall from Lionel and MTH. So l went pre ordering a few O scale CSX heritage units. At my surprise there was a rerun on the Monongahela ES 44Ace. It kinda tells me demand is there for it in O scale . But it collects dust on z warehouse shelves cause lack of east coast z hobbyist.

How and were do you start on this subject? First hats off to AZL for another 2nd run beginning to sell out on UP heritage units . As for the DRG unit .My question lies on how many of you that are repeat buyers that have already have the first one ? I was almost one of you .I had 2 different chances of getting one of the reruns. So was it just first time buyers or same buyers of the first run cause of a few changes done .I bet if AZL doesn’t change anything on a third run . It probably would be a warehouse dust collector like the NS units. Or hopefully be new z scalers joining.would buy.

Surprise announcement! AZL is pleased to inform our valued clients that we will be producing the Baldwin Sharknose diesel locomotive. With its distinctive look, it is our first Baldwin diesel. This major locomotive manufacture has been missing from our product line, and this fills in an important gap. Why announce today? Well, the real April Fool joke is that Hans has been known for disliking the Sharknose for years, but THAT was the long planned April Fool! He actually loves the sleek design and has wanted to make it for years. AZL will make the Sharknose in all major road names, including an undecorated version. Look for the release before the end of year. Happy spring! Ha ha ha April fools. Watch what you say about a passionate locomotive some people would like to have. It’s called KARMA comes back to haunt you in the end.

Wow, you have some varied interests! Good bet that quite a few of those made it to Chicago at times. I model the midwest. All road names listed were "built" at EMD, LaGrange, IL (suburb of Chicago). Canadian roads were built at GMD, London, ON. Everything on rails, sooner or later, goes through Chicago. As far as Chessie (B&O / C&O / WM) re-runs, those have already been made. I'm sure they'll be included when the GP40 or GP35 are released in a few years. This thread is about second run GP 38’s Well as I remember AZL did one run only of GP38-2 in Chessie B&O and C&O and sold out in couple years. As for a request on second round of B&O Chessie is up to AZL but it was a good seller for them. Like them bringing back another round of NS Heritage units which was a sell out. As far B&O an C&O I’m just requesting the solid blue shell with yellow lettering in there rerun of GP 38-2’s which has never been done. Plus WM didn’t have a GP 38-2 As for PLE and Monongahela it’s a wish that they would add.( With Rob K is probably hoping for the PLE too)

My turn? “I model the midwest.” (Mrbarlow.) Chessie and Erie Lackawanna cut the diamonds in the Midwest, as you may know. “As far as Chessie (B&O / C&O / WM) re-runs, those have already been made. … I’m sure they’ll be included when the GP40 or GP35 are released in a few years.” (Mrbarlow.) You wanna talk about fast sellout items?! AZL Chessie GP38-2s lasted less than two years on the dealer sites. Jeepers! (Pun.) Make more. … Puhleeese. “[Chessie (B&O / C&O / WM)] included when the GP40 or GP35 are released in a few years.” (Mrbarlow.) In a few years?! Cut that time in half. … Puhleeese. “More B&O Chessie … B&O … C&O” (Mgatdog.)—Quite correct. In light of new tooling necessary for a rerun of GP9s … Saw a pair of GP9s in black with the white pinstripe and green diamond logo for Illinois Central. That’s it. AZL could do a rerun of GP9s for all roads. … Maybe, even, a two-loco set in different paint schemes for some roads. It’d be a continuous thing until we’re all blue in the face (A B&O pun?). Scott Agree 100%
