Bob they never did undec cabooses. BUT they did offer CNW bay window cabooses. These are the same cabooses the Mon bought from the CNW. I was thinking of taking my sample and weathering it and patching it for the Mon. See below. Yes, more GP7s are coming. Rob We're thinking on same page . But I 'm doing it in red last time it was painted before Conrail took over . Caboose no was 903 and another one can't think of # off top of my head. Thanks Rob

Oh that looks good! Real good. I like the orange since I am planning to go with a slightly weathered version. Interesting on the Atlas model. The show the logo on the front, but I have not seen this in any prototype photos. White strips on some, but not the logo. I am debating to go stripes or no strips. Rob Rob They had a bunch of different paint schemes on the nose on some of engines had white warning stripes and some orange stripes and then nothing at all. Then just small M and at last small M on front with white v stripe that wrap the whole engine like super 7's

Ok, I think I'm close here... As far as color, I've sampled a cross between the Atlas model and a real loco photograph. Of course the real loco photo is probably not color corrected... so my color is a bit of a guess. I'm guessing the decal sheet is of later paint schemes as the typeface is different than the GP38 prototype photos I've seen. In this photo for example the font has a slightly square feel to it, this is what I tried to duplicate. Last, the width of the large orange "M". Mine looks wider but I think this is something of an optical illusion. I created mine by overlaying the original logo on top of this for accuracy. Also, it will appear a bit tighter once reduced to decal size. Ok, I think we're close here... what do you think? John www.ztrains.comLooks great. Are you going to do the small M for the nose also? Can't wait !!!

I would be interested in woodchip cars. I would also want some more Penzee reefers for the Mikado to pull. Something like the 12 car PFE set without the brass engine attached. I second the wood chip cars. Talk to other z scale co and they have to much on there plate to make this request anytime soon .

They are red but look orange in photo. I would prefer red because I don't weather my engines .

Monongahela Logo Several slightly different Monongahela logos actually appear, here's the most recent one I've drawn. This orange color appears on the Atlas N scale model, where on the actual locos the orange appears to be a faded red? Just guessing there. Will work with Rob on this. John www.ztrains.com It is faded red in photos . I have all 3 atlas n scale engines your right they are orange in color ,which they should be red

We have a logo! John Cubbin has been working on the logo for me. It matches the one used on the circa 1980s GP38s. It looks great! I plan to scale these down for the locomotive. The P&LE logo is yellow with a black outline. I laid the decal over a light gray section that I painted on the locomotive side. The yellow is transparent which is why the light gray section is needed. The decals were printed out on my color laser printer. Catt definitely on the decals! I will send you a set. Here is a photo of the Monongahela NS heritage unit. www.easternrailroadnews.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/mga8025nsimage.jpgRob Wow like the photo of the MGA NS heritage unit same paint job as Super 7's .Send me a bill and let me know when you have decals ready. I want at least 7 sets as of now, maybe more later. Thanks. Rob you made my day.

Ya for last years few years working for them, before Conrail took over . Couldn't ask for a better co to work for. Everybody was great to work for and with. I started on B&O Chessie System worked C&O ,WM and when it changed to CSX. But Monongahela RR was my favorite . Small RR only about 169 miles of track but they were busy.

That is excellent! It was a neat railroad. I was happy to see the NS do the heritage versions this year. Do you have a good source for their logo? I plan on doing decals but need the logo. What I can do is create the decals with all 5 road numbers and send them to you when I am done. I plan on doing the circa 1980s livery. appalachianrailroadmodeling.com/protophotos/mga2004a.jpgRob Missed the NS heritage version any photos of it? I have HO and N scale decal sheets by micro scale for the GP 38 , GP 7 and Super 7 . I can send you one. I was beating my head on the wall trying to figure how to get them down size to the z scale. Really be tickle if you could do that. Someone one told Me to take it to kinko's they may be able to do it .
