Yes we definitely have Bethgon coal porters. AZL still have Conrail and BNSF with the Swoosh logo still available.

All SD70/75 and GP9/GP7 versions shown last year in Atlanta will be available. We hope to start locomotive testing within 2 weeks. So hopefully early April we are ready to release the first SD and GP which will be a standard cab SD70 and a GP9 Torpedo Tube. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

We will announce roadnames April 1 (no April fools). The entire runs include: GP7/GP9: MP, NYC, SP, MILW, WP, CB&Q, ATSF and D&RGW SD70 Standard Cab: IC, Conrail, NS, CN SD70M: UP, NS, CSX, SP, NYS&W SD70M/I: ATSF, BNSF, CN These were all shown in Atlanta. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

Has anybody asked for a modern log car or a pulpwood car yet? The MTL ones look too ancient and spindly for my taste. I'm thinking of the ones with bulkheads and side stanchions. There are some cool ones on railcarphotos.com

Kev, I'd vote for a pulpwood car. But I live in the middle of the El Dorado National forest and I haven't seen logs shipped by rail for decades.

Looking on railcarphotos there were still some in use as recently as 2009. I'm just finishing some of Gerd's woodchip car kits but some RTR ones would be good as well.

Kev, I'm not suggesting log car aren't still being used somewhere, but the general logging operation in California & Oregon (and after checking with family in Idaho and Montana) is to truck the logs into the mill and ship product out via railroad. The last specific instance of log cars I can recall is from the 1960s and 1970s on the Sierra Railroad which ran to Oakdale, CA from Sonora (and a bit beyond).
BTW: you're familiar with the Sierra Railroad from TV shows like "Wild Wild West", "Little House on the Prairie" and the movie "Back to the Future 3" which, along with many other TV shows and movies, filmed their railroad scenes on the Sierra Railroad.

Outside braced boxcars, I think I could find some pictures of those, and the 4 bay hoppers. Boxcars would be good for the Mikados, F units and the GP7s. 4 bays would be from the 60s to the present. Another item would be a caboose. I know that most RRs made their own, but at the end of the Caboose Era, a lot bought them rather than make them.International Car Company Wide Vision Caboose would be my pick, there might be some slight differences between railroads, they were all basically the same. Be good for the CB&Q, into BN era, Rock Island, Soo, Santa Fe, Frisco, IC, ect. You guys would be pretty silly NOT to make them. There are people who just collect cabeese.

I'd love to see a caboose or two, as well, in something other than the usual schemes. We all have our favorite flags, of course. For fallen flags, mine would be Erie and Erie Lackawanna. CSX runs an old NYC caboose painted in Erie scheme as part of their local Marion, OH operations. Just to the north of Marion, CSX has also operated with an old Chessie caboose, with the Chessie cat logo. I love it when the current lines acknowledge their heritage as part of daily operations. There's also an Erie Lackawanna caboose on display at the old Marion deport. Marion is just to the east of the old International Car caboose company location in Kenton.

Would really like to see a run of these Maxi-IV's from AZL with proto-corrugated containers, not exterior post [x-post] containers like all the previous releases; TTX Forward Thinking logo.

Those short tank cars used for acids and other heavy liquids. I dont know how much money it would save by using some of the same parts in different cars, but couldn't you use some of the same parts (Ladders and railings ect) on longer cars too? More bang for the buck. The people that still make briefcase layouts will like them, and the people who buy Z for the "cute" factor will too. Tank cars can be use in all kinds of industries even in the smallest towns. And if you can, try and produce some in the earliest version as possible.

I just seen a short tank car that was on an auction site go for some $$$ The company that made them is out of business. I´m telling you, they would sell well, and there is not much to them.
