I am afraid that we must hurry for our orders as soon as the engines will appear in the list ... I didn't know that there are so many people interested in modelling the NYC, I thought that most of them were interested in building the "(south-)west".

Actually AZL has produced a number of cabooses all the basic forms: www.americanzline.com/category/caboose/As much as I would like to see more cabooses, the problem is there were very few “standard” cabooses which makes modeling them at the detail we have grown accustomed to from AZL difficult. Most cabooses were home-built and factory built units rebuilt at a drop of the hat. Considering Scott’s example, were they wide-vision cupolas? How many windows? straight or sloped sides? How many windows downstairs? What locations? Unless you’re modeling a specific railroad and era it’s difficult to be accurate. Which is probably why the link above are $200 brass. Personally I’d love to see this: But I really don’t expect it to be produced.. Mark This is a Transfer Caboose. Am Grman Z-scaler produced a brass kit many years ago, I have built one, Unfortunately he died yeras ago. Greetings Mattias

The first version shown on the page above was manufactured by Märklin too, so I found a NYC (red) version several years ago on the Bay and modified it with the "Zelatory" adapter (3D printed ? ) so that the trucks are at their correct locations (they were to near from each other, to accomodate with the small radii, like their freight cars ... ) ; and don't forget the former MTL versions (I have the brown NYC), some of them can still be found at ZScale Monster, ZScale Hobo, and Marsilius in Germany. Unfortunately I could not find any NH, so I have a MTL repainted by a German modeller and another made by Gérard Huet.

Although this thread is quite old, here is a quote from my wishlist:
1. Missing cars from Viewliner family - Diner, Baggage/Dorm and Baggage 2. ASC64 - I believe the first ever electric loco in the whole lineup should be finally made by AZL 3. New run of Big Boy in plastic (cheaper than brass model, but more detailed) 4. Probably, also F40PH - tons of variants possible
