I know everyone here has their own wish list for things they would like to see AZL produce and I realize that AZL can't produce everything all at once, however, I would like to see a few things produced that haven't been done by AZL or any other z scale manufacture.
1. F3's or F7's Canadian National in black/green/gold to match heavyweight passenger cars already produced. 2. Complete set of heavyweight passenger cars in Canadian Pacific burgundy to match baggage car already produced. 3. F3's or F7's in Canadian Pacific red and complete set of aluminum with red strip passenger cars to match. 4. F3' or F7's in the Via Rail yellow/blue and complete set of blue with yellow lettering passenger cars to match, also aluminum with blue strip to match the locos. 5. RPO and Observation/Business car to match Canadian National black/green heavyweights already produced. 6. Any steam locomotive with Canadian Pacific colours and crests. 7. British Columbian locomotives and rolling stock especially cabooses. Both liveries for locomotives would be great. 8. A full line of work cars such as cranes, tool cars, utility cabooses, crew cars and so on, and make them generic so they can be used on any line. Perhaps offer a set of decals to be applied to suit whatever road you want. 9. A V-blade snow plow with or without a side blade. 10. Light weight passenger cars to compliment the heavyweights and dome cars and duplex sleepers.
Of course I know that these can't be done all at once, but it would sure be nice to see at least most of these sometime over the next 10 to 15 years or before I die. Whichever comes first.

Now this may sound funny, but... it's GP7s and GP38-2s for me! There's such a huge potential there for so many class 1 and 2 roads and shortlines... it's mouthwatering. I was thrilled to see the Genesee & Wyoming GP38-2s and being promised further GP38-2s soon, and it would be great to see something similar happening with the GP7s and GP9s.

My wish list for Locomotives and Rolling Stock is within a couple of thousands already. An I just started, wondering how many will be aquired an how many might have to remain a wish

My Dear Fellow AZLers,
Shame on us! Let us not add anymore to Hans’, Rob’s, or Publisher Rob’s plate. Undoubtedly, they are scratching their heads about the COLA release date as much as we are. Please, compounding such issues only exacerbates things further. ... But as long as we’re putting in our two cents ...
dream machine wishlist
name trains (specially tooled) #1 1975 Amtrak five-car consist—four coaches and an Amcafe car for the middle—pulled by Amtrak F40PH #2 1930s B&O Capitol Limited (features one of those end-window-band combine cars, a lunch counter car, and so forth—Royal Blue consist cars[?]) #3 1958 B&O Capitol Limited (with 1949 B&O Columbian cars folded in) #4 1948 NYC 20th Century Limited or 1949 PRR Broadway Limited #5 New commuter train series: Bombardier bi-level passenger cars hauled by an MP36PH or a Siemens Charger (Modernism may be of interest to Mr. Allbritton.) Possible roadnames: MARC, SEPTA, NJ Transit, and LIRR. #6 1949 B&O Columbian (with the grey from the E7s for a new run of F3s)
freight cars #1 1970s 63-foot waffle box car with the big handwheel on the side (Chessie livery, if you please) #2 1955 53-foot flatcars with 20-, 24-, or 40-foot trailers (a TOFC or piggyback series) #3 1970s three-deck open auto rack cars with a dozen automobiles in plain view
locomotives (excluding forthcoming SD40s) #1 GP40 #2 GP9 with latterday paint schemes (e.g., 1955 GP9 in a 1965 paint scheme similar to a 1992 SD70M in 2002 CSX Dark Future) #3 Pacific steam (4-6-2) #4 Big Six steam (2-10-2) with cylindrical Vanderbilt tender (How cool! Too few roadnames?) #5 U-boat (Yeah, sure, okay, I’d like to see one in Seaboard.)
roadnames and liveries for further development as desired • B&O blue dip paint scheme • C&O blue dip paint scheme • WM black speed lettering • WM circus • Seaboard • L&N
Shame on us!

As for Steam, anything larger than an x-6-y is pushing it for the very high percentage of 195-220mm layouts. Blind flange middle drivers additional linkage leads to headaches. Either built by ‘märklin’ manufacturing or reduction of linkage (faux) pieces would be needed.
The prior Mikados was a nice try but a headache for user and sellers.
I’d like a U23/30 but it’s a small market. Someone stole my Gerd crafted one at a show. While a while a couple of UP c-44’s would nice to fill out my UP Engine yard part of my module, a GP30-40 would be nice for switching (with optioned MTL coupler, thank you).

Hey, thanks for that Jeff.
I tend to look at AZL locomotives as trophy pieces. I need to run them.
As such, never considered steam wheel configurations for the track radii. Thank you for pointing that out.
Were the Mikados unsuccessful operating on curves?
Appreciatively,
Scott

1. C44-9W and/or ES44DC 2. SW15003. SD40-2 *coming soon?*4. Trinity 5161CF Covered Hopper 5. Thrall 52ft6in Gondola 6. 53ft AP Spine Cars *coming soon?*7. Maxi-IV Stack Cars8. Maxi-III Stack Cars 9. 57ft Spine Cars 10. Thrall Coil Cars Wow! Well my list from 7 years ago made some significant progress. Upon Further Review... - I would definitely remove 8 and 10. The Maxi-III's were rare enough during my era that I could easily live without them. And I wouldn't need enough of the the Thrall Coil cars to make it worthy of a spot in the Top 10.
- Numbers 5 and 9 are both "nice-to-haves" and still would be of great interest, but I could still present a plausible "2006 BNSF" with some select 3D printed items or modified existing models.
- The 5161 Covered Hoppers are about as close to a "deal killer" as it gets without actually officially being one. It's tough to model post-2000 modern railroading without these cars, and 3D printing them would be a massive undertaking.
- The SW1500's and Maxi-IV's are wonderful models, and I'm extremely happy to have them. I would trade the SW1500 for a C44-9W in a heartbeat, but I do think that the SW1500 is more significant than maybe even AZL realizes. It was marred by the fragile shell issue and the delays with decoders, but I think eventually it will be a transcendent piece that will allow Z-Scale to get airplay on a bigger stage.
- But for me, without some version of item 1, it's all moot.
