A quick update on the SD45 project: Production samples are on their way to Hans and me for review. This means that production is nearly complete at the factory and we should be on-track for a late January release. The locomotives will be available on AZLDirect.com for $195 each (USPS Priority Mail shipping is included) or from your preferred dealer. Our first road name is Great Northern. A photo from the factory is attached. Merry Christmas! -Rob(A)

Rob, AZL's immediate job is to send someone to my house to wipe the smile off my face! Mike

Can´t wait to test the locomotives. Hopefully they will show up Wednesday. Yes, GN is first out the door and probably Santa Fe as well. Expect 2 initial road-numbers for each railroad. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

Any chance there will be some undecs included? I'd like to add a couple Z scale SD45s for my Grande Valley Railway (to match my N scale versions).

No undecorated SD45s. We have a lot of road names coming though. Hopefully we will start deliver the SD45s first week of January. This is subject to testing which will start this week. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

I can neither confirm, nor deny, the release of a D&RGW SD45.
