Not sure about any SD45 in CN colors, but we will make a CP down the line. Maybe CN has repainted some of their WC SD45s? Sincerely, Hans

Just before Christmas Rob and I received the first assembled SD45 samples. We have been running those steadily and we are pleased to report that they are strong runners. My sample has been running for 90 hours straight at about 50MPH. That translates to a trip from NYC to LA, then up to Chicago. Then the SD45 enjoyed reversing for another 10 hours. Next up, extensive switching! We also got our first artwork to review. I look forward to sharing SD45 information with our blog readers this Winter and Spring. First SD45 run will include more than 10 Roadnames. Expect to see many Railroad unique details such as High Hood, SP lights etc. Release date: Late Summer if everything goes as planned Happy New Year! Hans Which SP SD45 can I expect? How many road numbers? Are you still good for late summer? Best, Sven PS: I love the old ones, too, but it was impossible for me to get a second!

Hans, I'm looking forward to the units. Question: why are the ladder handrails black in your pdf? All my references have them as white like the prototypes www.ssloan.net/trains/sp/sp8802_0001.jpg and Sven's image. Mark

Is there any update on the progress on the SD45's? It has been too quiet for weeks now... /Frank

I've very excited for the high nose. The n&w bicentennial is on my to do list. This is one engine the n&w had quite a few of which is perfect for my modeling needs.

I suspect you will not hear any new announcements or updates before the National Train Show. But what do I know?

"I suspect you will not hear any new announcements or updates before the National Train Show."
That's part of the reason I plan on being in Portland.

Our factory wanted to tweak the running mechanism. Also, we have not approved all of the final paint and artwork. This will delay the project slightly. Hopefully we will be able to deliver by December. Sincerely, Hans
