I am very happy to see these hit the market! I have an MTL SP SD40-2 and so due to the inevitable scaling differences I will wait for this AZL version to come out in another livery (big UP fan BTW) before purchasing. Also thank you for the truck mounted couplers! My MTL SD40-2 is a bit of a hangar queen because with its body mounted couplers it cannot be relied upon, "endless derailments" indeed.

UP version was released in December.

UP version was released in December. That was the SD40-2, not the SD40T-2. Much different animal.

Thank you AZL! These Southern Pacific Tunnel Motors are simply amazing. And they look right at home on my Truckee River layout. The only thing missing from these ready to run Espee SD40T-2 locomotives is their typical layer of soot and grime. Thank you AZL!!! Bill Mock Fantastic! 👍🏻👍🏻

I have just received my tunnel motor. As my 121st Z-scale locomotive I am utterly blown away by the superb level of detail on this model. AZL have excelled themselves. Many thanks to all those involved in their production.

Why do many of “Reply with”? It fills gigantic threads. I don’t think we need to see the same pix on top of each other We know the Topic

At least pick only your favorite one if there are multiples. I get it if you're trying to comment about some particular feature of a photo or something like that. (yes, I've done that) But the whole post probably isn't necessary.

I'm not sure how I missed your photos. Is there a place online to see more photos and information about your layout? Thanks. Steve W

Hi Steve, Photos are mostly here on the AZL Forum. Use the "Profile" menu to find me "billmock" and it'll show a list of my activities on this site. There's probably a few posted on Trainboard too. Ztrack also did an article about my layout in their November/December 2011 edition. It's available in print and for digital downloads. And Svein-Martin Holt produced a really nice video of my layout when I brought it to the 2010 National Z Convention in Medford, OR.
Have fun! Bill Mock

And you will be surprised where the layout ‘lives’.
