AZL has released two Super Chief eight car sets. In addition to the eight car sets are two bonus four car sets. The F7's are impressive! The Warbonnets are really tempting but not my RR. This just means that a parade of fantastic F7 A's and B's are coming! Get your pocket books ready... I guess my little wobbling coffee grinders will be going up for sale-

I've already ordered the 4 pack of F7's, the eight car regular set, and the 4 car add-on set. Thanks for releasing this.
However, in re-reading your announcement, I noticed the following wording:
That means ONLY two drawbars are included when you actually need THREE to join all four units together in the A-B-B-A configuration. This is the same problem with the California Zephyr WP set of A-B-B which only came with ONE drawbar. It makes no sense to only use two drawbars for four engines because you'll have an uneven gap between two of them. Plus, the uneven gap will be very noticeable.
I had raised this issue more than once in the past but it apparently still remains an issue. When I first brought this issue up with the CZ sets, I was told that you would try to find an extra drawbar somewhere. Then when a drawbar could not be found, the issue was quietly forgotten. In more recent threads, the lack of drawbars has come up again. Hans said in one thread that they would be producing more drawbars going forward. Obviously they didn't make it in time for the Super Chief.
Not trying to be too picky here because of all the great details on these units. But, if we can't have enough drawbars to fill a proper configuration, then the question has to be asked why have them in the first place? I can't imagine that the cost of producing drawbars is that big of a problem. Is it possible to include one drawbar with every A unit AND every B unit? That way we could have the flexibility of rearranging our consists to fit different scenarios. Plus, having extra drawbars on hand can be used as spares or for future use.
I'll continue to support AZL and purchase your models. You guys do great work, but this little hiccup can be annoying and detracts from fully enjoying your great efforts and products. Just Saying.

Which went faster, the Alaska GP-38s or these......

Fear not. We have extra draw bars. Each set will include the 3 required to make up the ABBA consist. And I was planning to buy up all the A units and sell off the drawbars on eBay, to the highest bidders. An interesting question: will the drawbars work on the nose end of an F7 (assuming the truck gets changed)? Mark
