Fear not. We have extra draw bars. Each set will include the 3 required to make up the ABBA consist. Thanks, Rob. The announcement made it sound like the issue had not been addressed yet. Good job. Do you have enough extra drawbars to replace the one missing from the CZ Western Pacific ABB set?

Good looking locos for sure, but I'm holding out for my Milwaukee Road ones, and maybe the NP black/yellow versions.

We will do a rerun of F units. That being said we will also release other ATSF F7s, but not necessarily with matching roadnumbers

And some consist info.... Note: this particular consist would require 1.5x expansion packs! Drop one Pine and one Regal sleepers to work with our products. This would still have been prototypical on days that had lighter bookings. Also note the orientation of the dome and kitchen. This was done so the "Turquoise Room" dining room in the Dome was closest to the kitchen in the next car. Lastly, note the one sleeper from San Diego to Washington, DC. This was the longest through pullman service in the country.
January 1954 #18 Super Chief Los Angeles-Chicago Baggage-Mail Railway Post Office (LA to Kansas City) 10-6 Pine Sleeper (LA to Kansas City) 10-6 Pine Sleeper 4-4-2 Regal Sleeper 4-4-2 Regal Sleeper Dome Lounge (Dome to rear) Diner (Kitchen to front) Dorm-Lounge 10-6 Pine Sleeper (San Diego to Washington, D.C. via B&O, ended 10/55) 10-6 Pine Sleeper 4-4-2 Regal Sleeper 4-4-2 Regal Sleeper Observation

The extra drawbars will be in the 37C and 41C F7 box for those who are getting the A-B-B-A set.

So what was the official orientation of the dome car? Rob A in this example says long end forward. Rob K modeled short end forward. A Super Chief promotional film shows it both ways.

(Edit: I didn't notice it.. but Rob A. also notes this connection in his previous post...)

Rob Watching your video on SF chief. Nice looking set. But while watching I notice one thing . The AZL F units are as noisy as my MTL F7 . Only thing missing was the wobble. π§π€

Hi Guys, Great release, just one question if I buy the single F7 now will the matching numbers to get the A-B-B-A set be available in future release? Also will the draw bars be sold separately?
Thanks, Dave

We plan on offering drawbars with separate lengths. And unfortunately we cannot guarantee a matching set over time. We will produce more A units so hopefully a future match will not be a problem. But do not worry about the B units since they are not numbered. Simply because the real numbers were so small that it would not make sense to pad print it on the 1:220 ATSF F7Bs.

Four AZL F7A's sound like 1 MTL F7. β Additionally he has those packages standing there as a wall ... making a sound-resonating enclosure to amplify the locomotive sounds.

Itβs just hard to run any F7 in my mine without the noise . But no wobble I Canβt Handle That. π€£
