AZL is very exited about being able to offer the E7 which compliments our prior E8 releases. Railroads include GN, UP, SP Daylight, SP Golden State, IC, MP, SAL, ACL, PRR Brunswick Green, PRR Tuscan Red, NYC, Southern, B&O, C&O, C&NW, CB&Q and Milwaukee Road. There are prototypical detail differences and this time we used etched metal step ladders. A good match for our heavyweight and lightweight passenger cars. And the CB&Q E7s can also be used with the California Zephyr. Arriving March/April. Artwork and photos will follow....

Will there be adequate supplies of B units? The Golden State and Daylight typically ran A-B-B consists. Maybe sell them in a three pack?
Also, does this foreshadow Golden State passenger cars?
Been dreaming of these for awhile. Thanks.

Been dreaming of these for awhile. Thanks. No decisions on the Golden State locomotive packs yet, but YES the entire Golden State passenger train has already been produced! We have simply been waiting on the locomotives to release the train. There is a good chance it will come as a complete set: cars and locomotives all in one pack. It looks AMAZING! Now, the date has not been set because we have some other passenger trains that will be released FIRST: Super Chief - and it looks incredible too. The Golden State will be released THIS YEAR - just not sure exactly when. We just got 3 palates of Z scale a week ago, and there is another on the way. We have a ton of product showing up now, including some other unannounced projects. We are trying to pace some of these releases out so we do not flood our dealers with too much product. We're also not sure when the next shipment will come in. All I can tell you is that 2021 and 2022 will be an incredible couple of years for Z scale. There is no better time to be in the hobby. Enjoy! -Rob(A)

Wow! That's great to hear. The Golden State was my favorite train. Oh, I'll be sure to get the Super Chief, but I've always liked the Golden State. Thanks, Rob.
Any spoilers as to consist, types of cars, number, year modeled?
Also great news about product coming down the pipeline.

Some E7 A&B units in Rock Island would also be nice for use with the Golden State. Mark

Too late for the Rock Island E7s. Next production run we will include them. The current E7 production run has now landed in Anchorage onboard Cargolux flight 4357 from Hong Kong. It will clear customs and head to our HQ warehouse next, then on to Ztrack in Dublin Ohio for distribution.

Ahhh, who am I kidding...bring it on. I don't expect that a lot of what is on those pallets will end up harming my wallet, but I'm hoping something will jump out and surprise me. The 2022 pallets might be a different story. Not like I'm left out in the cold...I'm still awaiting the R-70-20's in my particular roadnames. So there's two locomotive sized chunks taken out this year, assuming I'm able to get the cars I want. And if you include 2022 then I think maybe we'll at least see the start of SD40-2 rollout on the tail end of that timeframe. Would also hope to see the second run of ES44's and more Bethgons too. If all that happens, I will likely have a (happily) depleted hobby budget by the end of 2022.

As Robert pointed out, we have never received more products. We have to totally revamp our release plan That is not bad news. By the way, we shot another video yesterday and you will be able to watch all the artwork and a production sample of the 8000 gallon Tank Car. Video should be posted in a couple of days

Now now the big question: Does the e8 or the e7 lead my Sunset Limited?
[ed: as rightly noted below, I actually have an e9, rather than an e8 at present]

The E7s were assigned to the Sunset Limited. Sure that SP E9s (SP only had one E8) pulled the Sunset as well. The ALCO PAs were also regular pullers
