AZL will sell the E8 in UP, SP, and PRR, as well as some other road names (Hint: Kentucky Derby & Grand Ole Opry) So the probability of seeing road names; such as NYC, CB&Q, C&O and CNW; who had some of the largest fleets behind PRR seems in question. And yet we'll have the SP, who actually wasn't an original owner of E8s although they had one E8, # 6018. (Most of SP's E units where E7s and E9s [#6049 was an E9]). Or L&N possibly, who originally only purchased 4 units. However if some are going to be dressed up as E7 and E9s, then there's even more roads such as IC, Milwaukee Road, SAL and ACL that had larger fleets. Don't mistake my frustration with road names for lack of enthusiasm for the release. Just means I may not have to wait for lovely factory finish, rather I'll be able to get what ever releases first and send it to the 'DIP'. ~Paul E.

Awesome news! Finally a 4 function drop in decoder the AZL diesels. And while I know I can wire a 4 function one in, it really nice to sometimes just drop one in and be done.

Maybe the next run of Mikes will include some of the CStPM&O heavies.

I just noticed that the top banner has a BNSF Heritage II (Pumpkin) with a previously unreleased road number . For all it know it could have been then is way for a bit and I just wasn't observant enough. Any figure its part of the recent SD70/SD75 run. ANy word on when can we might expect this beauty to be available to hit the rails? ~Paul E.

HW road names I would definitely purchase include: -CP (Maroon) -Milwaukee (Red/Orange) -Chicago & Northwestern ( Pullman Green ). (I associate HWs more with Pullman Green and pre-WW II steam, where as the Yellow/Green with the post- WW II LWs and diesel cab units)
My LEAST likely road names to buy would beare: -MoPac (Eagle blue / white) -ACL (Green)
Other road names I would consider buying include: Northern Pacific (Two tone green or Pullman Green - haven't decided yet) GN (Empire Builder Pullman Green)
Just my 2 cents, based on the locals I try to focus on and in no way meant to slight the others.

Other constructive criticism with regards to the, Milwaukee Road release. Where possible select road numbers that match your design best. MILW had 16 GP38-2: the first 6 (350-355) didn't have Dynamic Brakes but the second order of 10 (356-365) did. So it for your MILW release it would have been better to have selected all 4 number in the second group rather than split 50/50.
That aside, I have my order in and looking forward to running some more MILW units soon.

Which one(s) (This one is tricky because I hear from many N and HO producers that U-Boats just don't sell. Any ideas why they would say that?) The blonde answer Well duh because they are submarines... Seriously though, either a U23B or U30C, as they seem to be the most commonly photographed. As to why they don't sell can only venture a guess, that due to their era they are heavily overshadowed by Geeps. I know on the Soo Line the U30C weren't considered the most reliable and thus weren't allowed to travel far home much.

In the passenger realm, F40PHs to compliment the F59PHI you've already done. I know FR did a few but it been some time. Staying modern, I would like to see SD90/43s And I really like the idea of ALCO power such as the RS3's, C425's or C628 mentioned previously. ~Paul E.
