I know that some some locos do not navigate thru the R022 and R023 switches. Has anyone ever tested AZL locos with these tight switches? We have not tested on those turnouts in the past, but we might in the future. However; I don't think we will design with those turnouts in mind. The standard Marklin / Rokuhan / MTL turnouts are what we design for because they are so prevalent. I suspect the RDC and the upcomming F units will work on R022 turnouts.

I expect E-units and F-units by the end of the year. 6-axle fright locomotives in Spring of 2015.
That's my best guess as of now.

So the probability of seeing road names; such as NYC, CB&Q, C&O and CNW; who had some of the largest fleets behind PRR seems in question. And yet we'll have the SP, who actually wasn't an original owner of E8s although they had one E8, # 6018. (Most of SP's E units where E7s and E9s [#6049 was an E9]). Or L&N possibly, who originally only purchased 4 units. However if some are going to be dressed up as E7 and E9s, then there's even more roads such as IC, Milwaukee Road, SAL and ACL that had larger fleets. Don't mistake my frustration with road names for lack of enthusiasm for the release. Just means I may not have to wait for lovely factory finish, rather I'll be able to get what ever releases first and send it to the 'DIP'. ~Paul E. I don't think you need to worry. Remember that the E8 and E9 are externally identical, and we plan to release both E8 and E9. (The E7 had a very different look on the nose and sides.) we plan to produce the vast majority of road names you mentioned.

AZL is pleased to announce our latest modern Z scale freight car: The Trinity TRINCool 64’ Reefer. These modern refrigerated boxcars are typically used in unit trains to move perishable produce. Introduced in 2003, one TRINCool car can haul as much refrigerated goods as four 53’ over the road trailers. AZL’s TRINCool 64’ Reefer will come with Metal Wheels, AutoLatch couplers, Extensive separately applied underside details, Etched Metal A-end platforms, as well as separately applied Refrigerator units and fuel tanks for the refrigerator units. Decorations will include UP’s American Refrigerator Transit (ARMN) service with both early and late style Carrier Refrigerator units, and CEFX which will come with a Thermo King style Refrigerator unit. Expected Retail Price ready-to-run will be $34.95 for single units and $195.00 for a package of 6 units. The design work has been completed, and tooling is now in progress. I would like to see Santa Fe Reefers and Burlington Reefers. Me too, but those were mainly steel side reefers. Our tooling is for wood.

I usually do a wood edge on my Z-Bend Track modules, but they go to shows, and so they get lots of road rash.
Consider a laminate edge. You can get rolls of formica for a reasonable price and cut it with a carpet knife to match your layout edge. Liquid Nails makes a good adhesive.

Is there going to get an "PULLMAN" labeled observation in the standard pullman green? Not the SP green but Pullman Green. Would be nice to have a matcing observation for the orignal pullman cars. How about RPO and Baggage cars? Not sure if those were ever labeled "PULLMAN" with pullman green. I would think maybe not. But if they did those would be cool too. Yes - they are upcomming releases. The RPO just says "United States Mail. Railway Post Office" below the windows, since the Pullman company never operated RPO cars, but we made them to complete the set. You could easily put a road name across the top of them (Think MKT, or something like that) we did make this car with two different roof lines: Clerestory and Rounded "Harriman" type. Pullman did operate observation sleepers. Ours is a model of the 3-2-Obs car with "PULLMAN" across the top. We have two names: "Crystal Brook" and "Ponce De Leon" Enjoy!

We are still studying the next Brass project, but there is a chance that we will do two new Brass products simultaneously. I anticipate that we will make some sort of announcement in the Spring of 2015 with deliveries in the Fall of 2015, but that is only a guess at this time.

Thanks for the heads up. But since the location of the cars is Hong Kong, I can't help but wonder if these aren't technically new, assembled from leftover parts on somebody's workstation? Mark Entirely possible. If that is true, it could have been made out of defective parts. Anyway, I've flagged it with eBay as counterfeit since the seller is claiming it is New and made by AZL. It is clear not a product that we ever made.

The length of the bridge is 132mm and the depth of the round house is listed at 165mm, although this will accommodate a Mikado (about 118mm in length) it will not accommodate a longer steamer. The AC-12 Cab forward is 185mm long and I would imagine that the Challenger, Big Boy, and even GS3/4 would be too long. Big Boys had problems on prototype turn tables! I suggest a Wye track and be done with it!
