Amazing jobs! Both the CSXT PS2 and the SP GP30!!!! I love them!!! Rob Thanks Rob. The trimming and dullcote helped a lot. Still need to finish up the 2 bay and start the lighter weathering I want to do on the 3 bay. Will post pics when totally complete.

Wonderful !! And furthermore, good job swapping AZL couplers with MTL's. Dom

Good job as well. Speaking of swapping coupler with MTL's I did the same with the first of my own 3 GP38s... BTW did you manage to prevent trucks from swivelling on 360° after cutting coupler arms ? Myself I didn't figure out how to proceed for that, and that bothers me. Any hint welcome. Dom

I didn't made the conversion so I didn't notice that, also the GP38 has the frame broken but I plan to convert it to a sound car

I didn't made the conversion so I didn't notice that OK, but you didn't ever take the unit in your hand or put it on track, and finally noticing that full truck swivelling freedom ? Dom

Here they are after weathering. Alittle blending, one more dullcoat and onto the branch line they go!

How much do you advise to weather the rolling stock of the 50ties? Best, Sven

Dom Sorry for late feedback. The MTL couplers are glued on the trucks, in the place of the old ones, not on the body. So no swivelling. Bogdan

Great shots of the weathered GP30's. I have just about decided that anything I have that I know I will keep should get weathered. They just look so much better that way. And some of my newer locos and cars have so much fine detail that just disappears without weathering. I know the real things are very worn and weathered, to the point of being filthy, but I mostly want to bring out all the detail. And hopefully rather quickly. Some dioramas and incredible layouts have every car a work of art. But I don't think i want to take that much time initially
