I missed the #AZL-62415-1 BNSF • 25th Anniversary, but I have a second UP Heritage loco (DRGW or SP).
I would offer a 1:1 deal.
If you are interested, please contact me.
Thank you!
Best, Sven

I think we should indeed convince AZL for the production of FP40`s. Here an example using Harald Freudenreichs shells. They wear the simplified version, meaning only one black stripe. Would be good to have the matching train this way as well. My best, Sven

Well, Tiest, to have AZL to invest into brass again is mainly a business decision. And a difficult one I predict. If you look into the history of brass sales, then you notice that there was mainly a demand for high priced West Coast items, number one the Daylight steam engine! Then followed by UP steam engines. The East coast train sets, although serving popular railroads like PRR and NYC, were hard to sell and went over the counter only with significant discounts. Thus, in conclusion, if high priced brass, then either steam engines and/or West Coast Trains. However, most of the popular West Coast trains are or will become available as injection molded (plastic) cars, namely Cascade, Lark, Overland, COSF, COLA etc. The articulated cars are perfect for rail road model layouts, wasn't there the announcement by Hans for a "plastic" version of this? A Shasta Daylight from the Mid 50ties as well as the Coast Daylight (Morning and Midday?). What is left then, what is sexy enough to pay $2000 - $3000 for it? The complete Diesel pulling power is already available today, only Espee steam is missing....... May be the DRGW Ski train with the right locos? The heritage engine is already available! My Best, Sven

Hello all! Yes we are slowly posting the collection. This is a big one and will take some time to fully audit, quality check, photograph and list. As CWR stated, you are going to see some really good prices. Much of our pricing is based on our Ztrack Resale historical sales, and not so much eBay sales. For that, you often can get really good values. As you visit Ztrack Resale, note not all of the items will appear on the home page of the site. You will want to check individual categories. I also recommend checking back daily, as our goal is to add products every day until we are done with the collection. By the, over 16,300 Z scale items have sold through Ztrack Resale. That is pretty impressive if you ask me! www.ztrackresale.comRob ....... and they sell quickly!!! Thank you!

When looking at AZL`s beautiful brass Daylight E7 A-B-B (AZL-2843), pictures came to my mind of Espee`s oldest name train "The Sunset Limited"www.american-rails.com/sunset.htmlAnd on one of the pictures there you could see the Daylight E7 A-B-B pulling a 13 car Sunset Limited built from LW cars only!!! And more bigger was my surprise when I realized that the "The Sunset Limited" on the picture can be modelled with AZL`s 73004 LW series. However, I would add the daylight LW baggage AZL 73647 (T&NO !!!) and the LW RPO AZL 73947. However, the E7 were not the power of choice from the beginning. When the Southern Pacific began to dieselize its passenger operations in the late 1940’s, Alco’s PA passenger diesel was the motive power of choice. 12 PA-1’s in the 6000 series were acquired for the Pacific lines in mid-1948. Another 12 PA-1’s arrived between June and August 1949 for its T&NO operations. These were numbered 200A,B – 205A,B The Sunset Limited was operated with heavyweight equipment until mid-1950, which allows us to use the olive green AZL 71004 series. Make sure you don't use the SP Lines lettered HW. For the parlour cars pick the T&NO operated ones.

I think the hype will die down with models that have been there before with locos that are nearly completely (except for the antenna) the same as in the first run, but expect to see a difference with models that are brand new! My 5 cent. Best, Sven
