Happy Thanksgiving! Less than a day away...anyone have any guesses?
My wishful thinking is some of the syrup cars and also bethgons. Outside of that, I'm not sure what would be good candidates. If I were to guess on a loco it might be the less popular roadnames of the 70ACe's since they're due for a restock soon.
EDIT: They're up!!! BOGO GP7's. Good deal for sure, and the Santa Fe's are very tempting. But they're something I'll pass on given some N items I have incoming. Maybe next week.

To clarify, slightly differnet processes for removing lettering vs removing paint. You don't want to try removing lettering with the paint removal chemicals, as it will end badly.

In my experience... -91% IPA works well for most -Some CN SD70's I stripped need a bit more ooomph, so I used "Purple Power" degreaser
YMMV. I'm advising caution and testing before going whole hog. Don't leave them soaking for extended periods (ie not overnight, etc) Obviously remove any window glass, which gets tricky sometimes.

Just curious, will you eventually make the "straight" SD40? In N-Scale, Kato was able to utilize a single chassis for both their SD45 and SD40. One wonders if AZL could do the same and thus--boom--half the problem is solved. And a good portion of the shell is solved already as well, from the design standpoint. Personally I would love it...I would buy BN, BN Whiteface, ATSF, and MRL and wouldn't blink. Probably SP and maybe UP as well. From AZL's standpoint, I fear there wouldn't be enough differentiation for most of the Z market between the straight 40 and the SD40-2. At very least, I probably wouldn't drop it on the heels of the SD40-2 releases. Maybe something to look at after the 60s though.

Great prices, extremely tempted. Of course the BNSF Maxi-IV and NS Coil car are both the exact numbers I already have. (and I only have one number of each) And the BNSF GP30 is a steal. I'll likely (reluctantly) pass this go-round but look forward to the "more to follow".

904103-1 AZL - Z Scale - Johnstown America Autorack - Canadian Pacific (CP) - 4-Pack - #s 546006, 546056, 546068, 546109 - Gray/Black (Feb 2016) Don't know if you are still looking for these ? So, originally I was looking for singles that someone might be willing to sell off. Well, I ended up finding a decent price on a four-pack of the CN version on eBay, so I bought it and I'm now in the process of selling off the other 3. I would still not mind finding a single CP too, but it's not as high of a priority now that I have the CN. (which also ran in my area/era) But thank you for the referral!

Did I say 30 days? Can it start from now? Clearly someone here is "under-promise, over-deliver", and someone else is "glass half full". I'll let y'all sort out who's who....

The BNFE green reefer colour appears a little bright, even lurid, by comparison with photographs of the prototype or the ones proposed but never made by Intermountain. A similar difference was noticed in the pictures of the DRGW combine, compared with the clour in the picturesof the original series. Have you changed the film in your camera from Ektachrome to Agfa, Fuji or GAF ? The green seems pretty good to me. I'll conceded a slight bit "overexposed", but I prefer that the the alternative of being too dark...not much you can do about that with weathering. Other versions of these car in N/HO have a bit too much of "lime" color. And the photo on Intermountain's Z page is very dark so I'm not sure I'd go with that as a frame of reference either. Of course, in real life these cars quickly weathered in all sorts of directions so most of the models have some element of truth. Now, the lettering/numbering on the AZL cars....that is another story.

What I've done in the past is find an HO-scale (or O-Scale/N-Scale) model of the prototype and buy one for reference. Then just eBay it after you have what you need.
That is of course assuming there is an HO/N/O version, but normally that is the case. And there's always a possibility that the model isn't perfect, but likely better than just pulling from thin air.

According to the Atlas guy championing the development of this car, Steve Woodward... "the Full Throttle/Bowser truck and Bowser Buckler coupler".

And as I always.. I will be accepting bribes... I can confirm that four cases of fruitcake was not a sufficient bribe to garner favor. I'm not sure if maybe *more* fruitcake is the answer, or maybe it's fruitcake-shaped solid gold bars that would do the trick. I suspect the latter. Anyway, just wanted to let y'all know what didn't work.
