James This is a quote from my dealer of choice: "As it stands now, those items are marked "sold out" on the AZL site and there is no "button" available to order them. If and when that changes, we will may be able to order them. If you're active on that forum, you might ask Rob if and when the anticipated new arrivals will be posted on our site .... then give us a reminder on the day that they actually become active."

Rob,
What is the status of the UP subscriptions? How much are the locos using the subscription? Also, you had mentioned at one time that the UP locos were limited to 50 each and 40 were slated for subscriptions; does that mean only 10 will be available for all of the dealers? Please keep us informed. Thank you.

The BNSF reserves are here in Ohio. I won't have a final quantity of available units until we complete the testing and inspection. This will not be done until early next week. Once we have the counts, these engines will go active on the sites and be available for dealers to order. We have alerted the dealers that these are coming and to keep an eye on the dealer web portal for availability.
The WPs are sold out. One can still sign up for the subscription program, but it will not include the WP. Almost all UP heritage subscription slots are filled. We won't know the true available number of extra locos we can offer until all are inspected and test run. There are bound to be rejects and defective units which lowers the overall number we can offer.

I want to put out a standing flip order.. I will pay the first guy who wants to sell their MoPac and Katy UP Heritage units $300 each for those SD70ACe loco's.
Those are the 2 I want, and I am sure I will miss them at a dealer, and I don't want to subscribe to get 5 unwanted schemes just to get the 2 I do want.
And I don't want to play the stress tension game of waiting till release day, not knowing what will be released when, unless I check all forums daily for rumors of release.

Can I do what Pray did but for a P42? Though not $300...  I really want Amtrak 66 and I DO NOT want to miss out on it... It is my favorite Anniversary unit... And I have one in HO and N... The Reading RR lives! I'm still thrilled AZL is doing the NS and UP heritage SD70 ACe's. I just received the first of the NS's. Too cool!  Here are some shots, including a "midnight express" run to show the lights. The ditch lights are a very neat touch. Yeah, the first OEM ditch lights in Z. Cool? They seem dimmer on my WP unit than Dave's image, but I'm thinking a 4 function DCC board and a couple of pico-LEDs will fix that.

The little ditch lights do indeed work. They're not as bright as the headlights but, as Mark mentioned, really cool. As was stated earlier in the thead, the headlights are closer to scale size than usual, so they're not going to burn your retinas out but they're bright enough for me. I love it. |
