UPDATE - the count is now 25! There are 12 Daylight, 10 Black and 3 Freedom version reserved. Rob Rob,
How's the count going? It seems that we are only halfway there... I was hoping that there would be more interest by now, hopefully with Hans suggesting that he might be interested in offering some GS-6 locos in addition to the GS-4 there would be more interest in this possible run of brass steamers.
Best regards, Mark

It doesn't look like we are going to get 50 reservations... how long do we wait for a decision? I know... I was the one who started this but I don't see enough interest here so maybe we should move on and I can spend the money I've been holding for something else.

Mark Hi Mark, Even if we got the green light, it would probably take a year to actually produce another run of GS locomotives. That being said, lets give it another week or two. This process has given Hans and me some insight into: 1) What people may want in the future 2) Ideas on new things we can make 3) Thoughts on how a reservation system might accelerate our plans So, hold tight and I'll get back to the group with more thoughts on the 3 points above in a few days. Best, -Rob(A) AZL

I think it's clear to see that most modelers in Z scale are doing UP, SP, BNSF, Santa Fem and the other railroads out that way. Have you considered doing a 2-8-8-2 y3? N&W, PRR, Union Pacific, and Virginia all had the same engine. That is quite a few road names for one model with little difference between them all and it's a beautiful engine.
I think the reservation list is something good to consider in the future, 3rd rail models does this with their new models and with a non refundable down payment it is a guaranteed sell. The bottom line that some modelers forget is the company has to be profitable otherwise there won't be any new models. I understand needing to market the engine to the majority which is why I bring up the Y3.

What ever happened with this idea? Did it get close to the number of reservations?

Last I saw we were at 25 units. Sadly I was in for 10 so guessing there isn't enough people to get it done
