If it's not brass I'll take two. I can't afford brass engines.

As I've said before, I'd be interested, Western Pacific 481 class.
But guys let's be a bit realistic here. While many of you are new to Z, the GS-4 isn't. It's a 5+ year old design. Is the manufacturer still around making locomotives? Do they want to want to do it? For an acceptable price? Are parts still available? When can it be done? 2016? 2017? Should it be re-motored? DCC ready? And I haven't a clue to any internal AZL issues that might exist. Another run seems to me to be a lot more than pushing a button on the Domino's app.
I set down from my soapbox.

I was around when they were available but at that time I was still active in O scale and I wasn't going to spend $1200 on the engine. Boy was that a mistake.

Limited railroads. But if built around the Mountain class, it could be varied.
I would take any larger steam then the Pacific/Mikados. Can't run a Challenger or Big Boy 'everyday' not on basic radius track (195-220). Running on larger 240-270mm Rokuhan or better, flex. long trains with big steam up front.

Mark Mark, Your analysis is pretty close to the truth. The 1st GS run was made by AJIN in Korea (great group of people to work with) but they are no longer around as the founder is getting along in years. We would make a whole new GS locomotive that would not share any parts with it's predecessor. NOW, that being said.... If there is enough enthusiasm for ANY project, we will do it. Brass projects are usually about 18 months from us placing the Purchase Order with the factory to delivery. We would need about 50 pre-orders to do it with a non-refundable deposit of about $500 each. If you are interested, please send Rob Kluz and email at ztrack@aol.com. Note this is NOT a solicitation, just let him know your interested. If we get anywhere close to 50, Rob can email folks back about a deposit at that time. Best, -Rob(A) AZL

I would love the n&w J but quite frankly I think I'm the odd man out in Z scale with n&w. I'm starting to model southern pacific which is what I modeled when I was knee high to a grass hopper. I think 50 orders is fairly easily obtainable.
