AZL is proud to announce yet another exiting product, the Wide Vision (or Extended Vision) Caboose. We hope to deliver this new Caboose before the Summer. We will promise many roadnames. Some of the first run roadnames will include Burlington, RI, N&W and D&RGW. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

That looks awesome! Will we see them soon? Before summer 2015 is the current estimate. Here is an engineering drawing:

Awesome.
On a side not, the engineering drawing has actual caboose trucks, but the sample looks to have standard RB tucks. Suppose it is to muck to hope that trucks on the sample are temporary stand in.

Good Eyes. The Caboose will not have RB trucks.

Santa Fe too? I might buy two of those. I would buy 2 BN if you made those.

great to see the wide vision caboose. Please make the leaf spring trucks available as 'spare'part. These will look better that the ones I bashed for my scratch build wide vision cabose..
My comment to the engineering drawing: double check the roof layout. The long side is ok, but the short side is the wrong way arround. The roof should be the same on both sides of the copula. The drawing shows the roof sides mirrored. The short roof of the Santa Fe caboose is wrong in may opinion. (at least if it was a 01500-01514 D&RGW caboose or GN caboose, thought these roofs were all the same)

I have been waiting for somebody to make these. I'll buy a few red ATSF like the one posted, and a green BN. BNSF is still using a few wide vision cupola cabooses (in both colors) for local switching around my house.

A couple of mistakes on the prototypes that will be fixed before production. They will not have the RB trucks and the roof will be changed as well. Thank you for your observations and comments. But bear in mind that our version of the Wide Vision Caboose will be generic. It is made to accommodate as many roadnames as possible. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)
