No doubt a much-deserved break.
SD40-dash family releases needs a halftime show (Eighteen to go? … Zat right?)
Well, we’ll jus’ have to wait for the high hood Southerns.
Rather than wrapping up with July, perhaps wide visions will carry over into August.
Eventually, we’ll all have a Pullman Green combine car.
The unannounced freight cars might make a good topic for a halftime show.
Kinda cool if one was an open auto rack, or sets of piggybacks, or …

You're in for some bad news, financially..... Honestly I don't think AZL has much in the queue for me at the moment. Unless they spring something out of nowhere. (I'm assuming the Dash 9's are probably a 2026 thing) Well, I guess I forgot about the SD60's but I'm probably only getting two of them. Handful of the Airslide hoppers and that's pretty much it. Atlas is about to take a bite out of my wallet, and MTL when their BNSF flat cars hit. And quite a bit has hit from N-Scale in the past couple of weeks too. So it's fine that AZL is giving me a breather.

Doug, ya never know. Saw one of those General American tankers on a layout in another scale. It was rolling stock for Warren American Oil Company clearly marked Warren, Tulsa, Okla. Saw a Warren tanker again in a layout in another scale. Bought me a Warren tanker from AZL. Those layouts were 1960ish. F7s in my kit could work for that era. Had no intention of purchasing a Warren tanker when they were released by AZL. Watched a Todd Treaster layout tour. Enola yard is an element of the layout. Had to look up its location. … Along the Susquehanna. Harrisburg, essentially. Old photo of Enola yard showed one of those outside braced boxcars contrasted with other familiar rolling stock. This may prompt a hooray from Cwrr as that outside braced boxcar at Enola yard was Milwaukee Road (Photo attached.). Bought me a Milwaukee Road outside braced boxcar from AZL (may not be precisely the same type as in the photo). That photo could be 1950ish. F7s in my kit could work for that era. Had no intention of purchasing a Milwaukee Road outside braced boxcar when they were released by AZL. jbritton.pennsyrr.com/images/EN_Enola/04.jpgAs shared in a previous thread … azlforum.com/thread/1574/weekend-update?page=19Quiet evenings reading up on the Mikado (Attached is a photo from studying those nights.) … Had no intention … i.pinimg.com/originals/3c/7a/1f/3c7a1f87da38ab8b25f7b8fb9e0d70d8.jpg1973 is the era for me. After the Super Chief, it became 1953 or 1973. Then I had to pick up some square cross logo Santa Fe boxcars from AZL ’cause that’s what the Super Chief passed (not the ones from AZL but the prototypes). Had no intention of purchasing vintage logo boxcars when they were released by AZL. With the release of Dash 9s and AC4400s, it’ll be 1993 for me. Then I’ll have to be in the market for spine cars, container cars, and closed auto racks. I may run trains in 1988 depending on paint schemes of AZL SD50s and SD60s. Doug, ya never know. That's true....ya never know. Heaven knows I have the willpower of a 3-year-old, in many aspects of my life. Trains, food, beer, you name it. Funny, I get made fun of (sometimes approaching the level of bullying, if I were the type to let such foolishness affect me) at times because of my adherence to a specific era/locale. I'm not sure why it bothers people so much, but whatever. I'm very much a "to each his own" type so however anyone wants to enjoy this hobby is fine by me. I think people feel like it's some sort of snooty thing but the reality is it is mostly just a defense mechanism to keep me from making those impulsive "ya never know" types of purchases. And hey, I still do on rare occasion. It has helped that I've dipped my toe back into N-scale and I'm doing a different era which gives me some more variety. In fact, my N era is 1989, similar to your 1988 option. I love that era because of the 89ft intermodal and the early days of doublestacks and spine cars. That and I can run MKT alongside my BN and ATSF stuff.

Okay here is the game plan... Tomorrow standing orders for AZL-mid month are being shipped to dealers. I will send the dealers an announcement on Friday of the listing for new items. Dealers will be able to order on Saturday... That is the same day that I be gone, out of here, see ya'... vacation time! I totally expect to be completely inundated when I get back. My email will be limited during that time and I may not be able to respond.
I will give you a hint about mid-month... every thing we are planning has wheel and axles.... Oh and it goes on tracks...
I sooooo need a break....
