The 1957 was after they modified the lounge car to work mid-train. I'm hoping for an end of train lounge-dome with a small neon "City of Los Angeles" sign!

Here is the 1955 timetable, which shows they were still running 10-6 sleeps from NYC to LA for both PRR and NYC, along with the domes: streamlinermemories.info/UP/UP55-4TT.pdfThis would have been the year of the changeover to Milw, but this timetable still shows CNW.

The 10-6s from NYC & PRR running at least into 1957. As I recall when the dome lounge was moved to the center of the consist, the end of the train car was a blunt end 10-6 then any sleeper with a tail light in the vestibule. The Milwaukee Road change was October so it would have been in Fall timetable. Your desired observation car was run only for a short time. The dome liner cars were delivered in 1955 and were modified for middle of the train by 1957. Mark

The 10-6s always confused me – because I would have assumed that the people who could afford two elite trains across the country would have been more the drawing room and compartment crowd. According to the Ranks and Kratville book on UP Streamliners, the PRR discontinued their through sleepers in October 1957, while NYC continued going to LA (but not SF) for another year. I've attached a picture for those who don't know the lounge car we are talking about. Note the blunt end and compare with: azlforum.com/post/24657IMG_4685.jp2 (1003.31 KB)

We will be sharing new products with you out in 2022. The above is a little teaser. At the moment we have 3 injection locomotives in the works that we have not been communicated. One will probably be ready late next year and the 2 others are 2023 releases. We are a little slow on reruns, but hope to catch up here as well. Any update on where the second round (NYC, EL, etc.) of the RS3’s stand?

Probably should do a video soon (mid March maybe). We still have two locomotives in development we have not shared. I will update the SD40-2 thread as soon as we receive the first plastic from the factory. Hopefully before Easter. Reruns of ES44AC and SD70Ace locomotives have been ordered by the way. We are reworking Antenna Arrays where needed based on locomotive modifications. Stay tuned. Hans, what about some thrilling announcements? I was hoping for some special Easter eggs from AZL. Best regards, TexRail

I am away from my usual control room. Once back, I hope we can do a video session. The SD40-2 first plastic is delayed and it would be great to wait until we could show you samples and parts. So maybe mid May
