Any chances of getting a preview of the much anticipated SW1000/1500 paint schemes? Also, will there be an ability to order in advance?

Any chances of getting a preview of the much anticipated SW1000/1500 paint schemes? Also, will there be an ability to order in advance? Looks like UP, SP, WP, CSX, PC, Southern, BN, BNSF, CN, Conrail, NS, KCS, SLSF, AMTK, Reading, L&N, Cotton Belt, MKT, GN, CP, Rio Grande, Burlington, and VIA. Not looking to pre-order these yet, but maybe we will do so since we got totally blindsided by the ATSF F7 run.

No MILW, SOO or CN&W..... did I do anything wrong? Perhaps picked the wrong roads? A quick search of rosters shows MILW had nether of these models, CNW only one. I may have missed something but not all roads ❤️ EMD.

But anyway, even more than in other scales I would absolutely accept such flexibility in Z

From the "Prototypical" modeling perspective, AZL so far has produced what's been represented in the REAL railroading world.
I definitely want that trend continue and AZL NOT becoming a "Life Like" type manufacturer of "foobies" for the new, upcoming SW1500/SW1000 release.
Will the SW1500/SW1000 have prototypical details such as front/side only vs full side handrails?
Since many private industries ( Chemicals / Oil / Steel ) ran these, will you offer in Undecorated ?
I'd tweak Rob's list, per below, with who ran these in the most quantities:
SW1000:
BS BN CB&Q D&RGW
SW1500:
ALS BN (from GN, SLSF) BNSF (from BN. GN, SLSF) BRC CRIP EMD Demo GN (from SLSF) IHB IT (became NW, then NS) KCS L&N (became CSX) MKT MP PC (then CR, NS) P&LE Reading RFP SLSF SOO SOU (became NS) SP/SSW TRRA UP URR
We'll leave CN, CP and VIA off for the 2nd run.

GN did not get their SW1500s from Frisco. They bought them directly from EMD.

I thought the same, I did not check the rosters, just googled for pictures of them.... and saw some. But anyway, even more than in other scales I would absolutely accept such flexibility in Z IF AZL did their homework they likely realize that-- IF they designed the mech right--they also have the basis for an SW9/SW1200 and SW8/SW600/SW900 switcher. (see Micro-Trains, who utilized the Life-Like/Walthers SW9/1200 mech for their N-Scale SW1500) At that point, the number of roadnames expands even further. It would be most excellent if they did decide to got down that path. I suppose the sales of the SW1500 will impact the chances of them eventually moving forward there, should they choose. So, perhaps there is no need to go into foob mode with these just yet. It seems that AZL is mostly trying to avoid that concession these days. Regarding the snubs, maybe the MRL stuff hasn't sold like they'd hoped, or maybe they'll just be a consideration for a future run. I would think MRL does well, but who knows. (and I'm surprised MKT made the list honestly...and I'm a huge MKT fan. And there are a few others too that will be interesting to see how they do.)

I can't speak to AZL's motives, but one obvious possibility is that the hoods on the switchers earlier than the 1000 series are 7 feet wide, 3 feet narrower than the later models. That comes out to 9.6mm external width in Z. A bit on the tight side for their 7.5mm motor.

I didn't consider that would be a problem so maybe the earlier SW's are a no-go after all. Maybe a newer motor or some other solution might permit it. It would be interesting to see if--for example--the ZMaker SW1200 shell would fit. Being brass, perhaps it might have the benefit of thinner walls vs the AZL. (wonder if AZL is incorporating the brass inserts still like they did on the SD70's?)
