We would probably do 38, 39 and 40 sets. Make more sense. (as for the Heritage units they will not be identical. UP upgraded both the Cab antenna arrays and tweaked the paint scheme a couple of years ago. The locomotives will represent how they look today) Question: which AZL UP Heritage locomotive had the lowest production? I just listed one (CN&W) on an auction site. My memory was that C&NW had just 10 units produced....

The first two releases (C&NW, WP) were way less. Per that post: I’ve got 2 of the Sunset HW sets and should sell one since I’ve lately bought way too much AZL ...

There was also an earlier post saying that AZL produced 20 more SP than the rest that implies 40. As far as WP my dealer got me 2, with one going to Mr. Ray and counting just the online retailers there had to be more than 10. But really does it make any real difference?
Getting back to the ATSF F7's, what's the big rush to produce more? They are already showing up on the resale market, something that hasn't happened for the sold out PFE R70s. What new projects are being are being pushed out to do the rerun?

What new projects are being are being pushed out to do the rerun? It's a fair point. I hope further coverage of ATSF does not delay the introduction of new names like EL, which is supposed to be forthcoming – or Texas and Pacific, which I've long wanted to see in Z.

Ordered 50 and got something like 32. Almost all of the others had close to 50 made. (plus or minus 2 locomotives) SP had an additional 10 units at about 60. I'm doing this from memory, so my numbers could be off.

Rob A. is a treasure. Thank you, Rob!
I'm keeping my Rio Grande... No matter what!
<---- Mark, many of us have reasons to want more AT&SF Super Chief locos

Would you share more on the "unannounced products" ? Sorry, not yet. We will post information as soon as it’s appropriate. Frankly I prefer a few surprises. After all, AZL has had to delay several announced projects due to availability of manufacturing slots, finding and qualifying new manufacturers, tooling issues. In keeping with this thread, remember the F7s were announced way back in 2017, nearly 4 years of disappointment in waiting. I like being surprised on Christmas day rather than being told what's going to be inside the box.

Yeah, I like the monthly announcements too, cause if I knew what was coming out for the whole year, I'd be pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to explain it all to my "CFO".....

Rest assure, we have submitted a rush PO for more ATSF F7s. Hope for late Spring delivery. As we have moaned and groaned about ordering quantities many times before, getting the quantities correct is and will always be difficult. But this time we are completely blown away with our own misjudgement. So if the second order of ATSF F7s still does not meet demand, I guess we can always order even more

Is there any reason why AZL has not done a Southern Pacific F3 or F7 in the Bloody Nose scheme?
