Alaska F7A Sep 7 2020.PDF (695.97 KB) As you can see on the Alaska F7, we included the 48" Dynamic Brake and removed the side skirts and the rear overhang. The rear overhang was not offered for late phase F7s or F9s.

... Some railroads had strict paint guidelines like SP while others were all over the board like ATSF. Makes our lives a lot of fun! ... I think the Rock Island takes the prize for the most paint schemes and variations. Mark

Tell me about RI! Doing the research for a RI E7 now. At least 4 variations. Will pick a sensible one for the 2nd E7 run

I think the Rock Island takes the prize for the most paint schemes and variations. Mark Mark, welcome to the forum. Discussion of all the various railroad paint schemes is worthy of a separate thread. But if one is counting, I nominate Western Pacific. They had 5 major paint schemes, all applied to F units and 4 specifically to the F7s. Beyond that variations for passenger vs. freight units, changes in lettering font, lettering color, nose scheme. My last count was 15. Mark

We will produce another run of ATSF F7 ABBA units. New road numbers. We asked our dealers to give us an indication of interest by Friday Feb 19, 2021 so we could have a better idea of how many units to order. I suspect these will be delivered in the Fall of 2021, but need to confirm an exact date with the factory.
Thank you very much to everyone who has supported us with the Super Chief release. We will also be releasing an ATSF A-B-B locomotive set later this Spring, as well as some more single A units.
I just unpacked two palates full of Z scale - 2021 is going to be a great year for the scale!

Will there be a re-run of 37 & 41 (with the deadline of 2/19/21), followed by an additional run with NEW road numbers at a later date? Mark

^^^^^. Not the way I’m reading it. Early in this thread it is mentioned that road numbers 38: 39 and 40 would be the likely new runs.

If we could, I need to get to the bottom of this for my customers. I am being told by AZL that there will be a re-run of the 37/41 (and the deadline for pre orders is today). On here I see it won't be re-run, and I can't answer these customers until this is nailed down (again, the pre order deadline is today). Those who want the re-run, want it because 37/41 went with the passenger cars. Others just want the next ATSF F7s locomotives that arrive. Others want to buy every single number released. So for me, this is very difficult with no answers to give them with the deadline being today. I am getting constant emails requesting what is the correct information. Please help and I only say this on here because this is where the questions are coming from. My dedication to AZL, Z scale, and my customers is never ending and I thank everyone who is involved, at AZL, my customers, and Z scale friends. -Anthony

Sorry for the confusion. We just have a ton of product showing up at a very fast pace and three guys on two continents in three time zones trying to coordinate (plus factories are away for Chinese New Year) I’ll let rob communicate officially, but I think we have a solution to the whole thing that will make (almost) everyone happy. I say almost because there is always “one in every crowd” if ya know what I mean.
