We will order extra drawbars on our next locomotive order. They are small and easy to misplace

Regarding spare coupler parts: let me see what I can do. I assume you guys are talking about the top and bottom of the knuckle and the coupler box top, correct? I like the AZL couplers. I wish you sold complete replacements for body-mount applications. -Matt

Back to Eric’s 195R derailing, because I wish to switch cars, I use a 40’ (or 33’) Gondola or Flat car (weighted a bit more) and MTL coupler. That coupler pocket ‘just’ clears the trucks so any conversion is going to be hard. The only true way would be a truck mounted coupler with the front ugly cut out.
For Spares: I needed some early on (fried GP7 and SD40) or some other car or Loco. From a manufacturing point, it usually is not realistic for the manufacturer to make 1000 products and oh, by the way, can you make 100 more of these and 20 more of those etc.

Sadly the F3 drawbar does not work on the E8s (I've tried), so there is a need for a variety of sizes in the drawbar area if AZL were to go this route.

I’ve bought 5 new releases this month. I’d like some of the longer drawbars too!

I bought 5 new releases this month. I’d like the longer drawbars too! In the last several months, I bought one of each of the new GP38-2's from the latest release, some of the re-released ones, 4 of the new RS's, a couple of other AZL locos - not to mention all of my older locos. I could easily use a bag or two of the drawbars - both short and long size.

I've heard that it becomes an addiction... after a while one will have staches all over the house! You'll get to where you won't remember what you have and will make duplicate purchases... Some of us might need to seek help... I probably have a few more than I should... Hopefully my heirs will not sell them in a yardsale for a dollar each!!

I thought it was the boogeyman hiding underneath the bed? Oh, noes! It's the AZL boogeyman come to take all our wallets in exchange for expensive "toys". TRUTH!!! Been there, done that. Preach it brother. While trying to organize my collection, I would find bags in different rooms. Gee. Why do I have two (or more) of the same thing? Sometimes it's intentional if I like a certain model. Sometimes it's not. Oh, well. I'm just following my avatar.

Talk about new releases... they've been hitting my wallet pretty hard lately with the RS's and MAXI's! I have 4 road names I'm trying to model for (collect for now) and I always feel the need to get all road numbers... It's a good thing AZL limits those! I will also jump on the spare coupler and drawbar wish list, I have a few broken couplers on both locos and cars... BTW, I do like and agree with your avatar!

I tested with my NH-RS3, pushing it by hand (I cannot presently run trains while I am working on landscape, grass on tracks is not good, neither for contact nor for gears). There was no issue with the MTL couplers, and none with curves, but I use only R270 and R490. Hope only that they won't appear in the S-curves of turnouts ... PS : meanwhile I tested on turnouts, it seems OK.
As long as you have set between every reverse-curve a straight section at least as long as the longest piece of rolling stock due to run on your layout, you won't experience any desease.. Dom

You know you’ve got the disease when you start looking out for Alberich’s rolling stock needs. ...There are 2 sets of NH hoppers on eBay

Any update for the second round of RS3’s? Great job on rolling out the first, but it looks like most of the first round’s road names have been released. I’m curious as to what’s coming for round two of the RS3’s.
