It’s been kind of quiet on this thread. Any update on where the second round (NYC, EL, etc.) of the RS3’s stand? Have not placed the order with factory yet. We have a TON of other releases coming out this year. It’s likely that we will get the order placed this spring and release next winter. Thanks for the update, Rob! I’m just glad it’s still in the plans.

Thanks. Guess I'm already a Dinosaur at 50.. who started the hobby in his early 20's when you bought your ATH bluebox.. a ton of Details West parts.. pimped your loco painted and decaled it.. But I fully understand the point.
Guess then I'll just do as I did with the CP Geep🤷🏼♂️ BR Boris

57 in a couple days here!
Started in HO, then N, now Z scale! Usually it's the other way around as you get older, but I'm stubborn like that, lol!

Whatever happened to the RS3 in New York Central? I really need switchers and a road switcher. Please advise.

NYC was announced as being in the first run of RS3s/RSD5s. As a NYC collector / modeler, I really need at least one road switcher.

Mitch Gold They were produced with incorrect road numbers, so will need to be fixed in the next batch. Date unknown at this time. Start a letter writing campaign here, and who knows? They might get released with the wrong numbers!

Talking of which, will we get notice of when the Southern Pacific E9 will be re-released with the correct numbers ?

Frankly speaking, I would be willing to buy at least two NYCs with incorrect road numbers. What will you eventually do with them? Can the original paint be stripped safely? By way, I greatly appreciate your devotion to detail. It amazes me how closely you approximate the prototype, even in such a small scale. Kudos.
