Yes they are selling out. Rob Since the 73708-1 and 73708-2 Coach are sold out (but the 73708-0 is still available) I just made a quick decal sheet with alternative road numbers that you can apply to the 73708-0 (the one without a road number) so you can build your fleet. See attached. It included all numbers between 5422 and 5436. There is also a placement guide attached so you know where the numbers go. Enjoy! From time to time, I will try to add decal sheets here that you can print out on your own decal paper to make new road numbers or other interesting variations and details for some of our products.

Nice addition...but shouldn't they be red?

Nice addition...but shouldn't they be red? Zoom in tightly. They are Red with a thin (0.1 point) black outline. If your printer does not successfully produce the decals, I'm attaching an alternative file that has ALL RED numbers WITHOUT THE BLACK OUTLINE. Nice! This is the kind of stuff we like to see. Or at least, I do. I don't have any of the UP's and won't but I would welcome that type of offering for other items.

I'm also interested in these as I model the Milwaukee Road and they're passenger livery after 1956 is the same as the UP.

I'm also interested in these as I model the Milwaukee Road and they're passenger livery after 1956 is the same as the UP. I was investigating this recently with regards to producing decals. While I'm by no means an expert on The Road, it seemed that the cars they ran on the City trains had round windows somewhere on cars except for the Pacific series 10-6 sleepers they bought from UP. I'd be interested in any additional information.

Yeah, most of all the Milwaukee's passenger equipment was mostly built in it's own shops with "porthole" style windows, usually near the ends of the cars. Milwaukee also used mostly they're homebuilt "Nystrom" style trucks as well. Using the ex-UP sleepers w/Milw decals would be nice to have. For a little modeler's stretch of the imagination, I could try to give the "Porthole" look to some of the AZL cars, along with decals, to get a better flavor for what the Milwaukee Road used for passenger equipment.

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the words THE EAGLE from the letterboards of the new AZL passenger cars for the Missouri Pacific.....are these words applied as a decal.....if I could remove them, then I could replace them with COLORADO EAGLE....I already have decals from Rail Graphics in N-scale that will work extremely well....in fact, perfect....but how does one remove the lettering....would appreciate any advice....like the cars as they are....probably would not change all of them but some....when the train was started in 1942, the letterboards were labeled COLORADO EAGLE....eventually, it became cost effective to just go with THE EAGLE.....thanks

thanks for the suggestion....I have tried the method twice and the lettering will not start to break up or move....in the You Tube video, they were performing the procedure on an Athearn car with looks like slick or glossy paint....the new AZL passenger cars do no have a glossy paint....so maybe it can't be done....I never like to admit defeat so I will keep working at it.....I have already ruined one car....more trials will not make matters any worse....I just wish one car would have been labeled COLORADO EAGLE....at any rate AZL has done a good job and I am glad to have what I Have! herbmopac

Usually my projects are a complete strip in denatured alcohol. Beyond that my results have been mixed. I've had some success using cellophane tape, burnish it across the lettering and pull it back like waxing hair. I've also used Joe's model trains ( www.joesmodeltrains.com/ )decal & detail remover applied with a toothpick or a micro brush. If careful, you can keep the base paint from lifting. Regardless I assume I'll have to touch up the base color after removal. Hope this helps, Mark

Hi
I'm looking for a Rio Grande paired with drgw coach, but no one seems to have one to sell. I can get a az l coach on ebay, strip and paint it, but how can I get flying Rio Grande logo and black stripes ? Do I have to buy a printer?

Hi Philip,
If you want to send me a pm, I can forward you a couple logos and stripes in 'pdf' format. I was going to do some custom paints for DRGW and never got around to it. So they are not scaled to exact measurements; you'll need to do a bit of tweaking. Couple options: you could buy a printer and give it a try, would probably recommend this only if you're planning to do more custom paints or you need a new printer. The other option is to look for an online vendor who will print these for you (there are a lot out there) or someone on this forum might reach out.
Hope this helps
