I wish you success. A couple of useful hints. Avoid water-based paints, the supports warp real easily. Use some sort of block or jig to keep the outside supports perpendicular to the front pieces. Once you have them well secured, use can use spacers such as match sticks to line up the interior supports. Billboards are almost universally white.
Hope this helps,
Mark

No problem, for the pictures I won't use decals, but the same adhesive "thick paper" as for the shops ... And I think I will change one shop to a shop for "Musical Instruments", I love the Hammond advertising picture ... I found a picture for a Ford Pickup too, from 1965.

Once again another good choice, although some of who owned Fords in the 1960s might disagree. You might want to look into adding a nearby dealership name to the ad, Something like "Tri-Valley Ford."

I began with the trees ... The fir trees are Busch, the others "chinese" models.

Very nice work ! BTW, I've the feeling you have not "dressed" the inside part of your tunnel (I'm meaning there looks like you didn't put internal wall inside the tunnel, at least on a few centimeters / inches)... I think doing so you'd obtain a better visual result. Otherwise keep on going with the good work. Dom

There is a 5 cm long "pipe" shaped like an inverted U, 3D-printed at Sculpteo, glued with Stabilit Express and painted black, behind the portal (you can see it as a black surface on the right side) ; the mistake comes from the fact that the layout is still "open" at the edges, and so daylight comes through ; in a near future there will be curtain (to allow further access to tunnels).

I like your fire tower. Was it 3D printed or a kit? Deb

It was 3D-printed, I found it here (before the prices "climbed" at Shapeways) and it was painted (i.e. "sprayed") by my friend.

Only Tamiya sprays and acrylic colors (no airbrush).

My tower arrived today and I’ve already primed in in Tamils tan. Now to get creative! 🤞🏻

About billboards : I began with the assembly of one GC Laser, found another model on Shapeways and printed it scale. But, despite of the fact that I cut away some parts of the GC Laser, I think that both look too big in comparison with my buildings, especially in height.

I have to agree. In real life a good wind would wipe them out. I’ve seen several billboards on HO layouts and they didn’t look so imposing. I recall someone saying they looked more suited to N scale.

OK, sorry, I didn't notice that. Dom

On the other side, when I look at Miller's Engineering billboards, I see them REALLY BIG ... but it's not sure that the size is prototypical, as they are suitable both for Z and N ! The billboard at Shapeaways exists in 1/285 too, maybe it would be better, if the width of the ladder does not become too narrow ... Here is the result : (the width of the ladder would be approximately 2.17 ' in 1/1 scale). I think it looks better ?
