Bill, Your images aren't making it through. Too bad because Donner Pass was an interesting reroute of the CZ. In that era, the Pass tunnels were still much as they were built in the 19th century, rather low. SP required the train to pass through the tunnels at 25MPH and nobody was allowed to ride in the domes. The other interesting reroute occurred when tracks washed out in Nevada. The CZ was rerouted on the Santa Fe south through the San Joaquin valley through the Tehachapi then back north. Another interesting modeling opportunity. I didn't have any problems running my car on 220mm curves, and the BAZBoys ran the CZ all last weekend without issues at the show, but that's for the heads up. Mark

The California Zephyr made a detour from it's normal Feather River Canyon route down to Donner Pass. And we're glad to see her. Bill Mock Great pictures, Bill! Show us more, please All the best, Sven
