One thing to be aware of though. UV blocking window film may make the room a little darker as it will also block some light frequencies from getting in. However, this shouldn't be a problem if you have good interior lighting on your layout. Hope it works out for you. It really is a beautifully designed layout.

Thank you, Robert, for your compliment! But sometimes I wished not to beeing in love with details . Look at this picture: View AttachmentDoesn´t it look nice? I know exactly what you mean. I came across some 2 pound test braided fishing line that is the same thickness or thinner than the fine EZ-Line. The problem is if you snag something on it, all your telephone poles will bust off before the line will break. It's a dark gray green color and looks very convincing. Sufix NanoBraid 2 lb Low-Vis. This is what you want to use to rig cranes and guy lines and stuff.

The T&NO reaches Valantine/Tx.on my layout! Today Valentine is more or less a ghost town, but in the 60th it was a active subdivision point for the T&NO / SP. I tried to catch as much as I could from old pictures to bring it back on my layout. The internet is always a good source for any research in that field. So I was able to build a prototypical building of Valentine along my Texas 90. First step was to bring the image to scale. Luckily, there was no need for any perspective corrections because I know only Apps to change the perspective for the typical picture formates like jpg ( Photo Shop and others). . Then I glued the picture on a piece of cardboard, cutted it out and glued it over a second picture to add depth. Attachments:

Then I glued the front to a wood block and added the other walls of card board with the help of some parts from my scrap box.

Finally, here a short overview of the current status of Valentine and the whole layout so far , which is nearly 50 percent of my project when finished.

In July I missed the MP coaches which have been sold out so fast. . Mr. Marsilius (Marsilus-trains.com) was willing to repaint some of his excellent coaches in MP coulors. But it tock half a year and a lot of discussions about the right colours! At least, he decided to use slightly lighter coulors as the AZL ones. But I can live with it, as cars fade by the sunshine . I´m very grateful for the support of the z scale comunity: Coaches by Marsilius Paintcode by Rob Albittron Decals by herbmopac Wiht the help of these gentleman I can operate a TEXAS EAGLE in a good lenght now. . I guess, I need an additional E8

In the winter months it is better to have some lights on! So, in Valentine /Tx. we have some lights now, as I plan to follow the train scedules also during the night hours.

Thanks for the likes, folkz! I really like the night atmosphere very much. If I can really operate my trains in the dark reliably, that is probably a question for the future . But in the meantime I just enjoy the play of light and shadow. Hope, You enjoy it too!
