It takes some time to let things grow. Although it looks like nothing happend, a lot of money went into vegetation, fences, vehicles and people. Time as well

Sorry, that was too fast! . Here now a small update from Valentine Tx. , westbound view. A smal group of hippies settled close to Tx.90 for some days.

I love this layout : details and greatness (that is us english ?) where did you get the telegraph or electric poles ?

The telegraph poles are made by Micron Art. They used to produce three-arm-poles too. But both products are sold out. In former times, Micro trains produced some etched poles too. They are also gone.
If anyone has an idea, where to get some telegraph poles, please let ptitrainrouge and me know.

I found a company who makes custom metal parts here. Or look there (but they are made of plastic). Hope it can help ...

While my West-Texas project continues with some woodworking for the next section, I tried to complete my Fast Freight with some TOFC and a appropriate caboose. This freight has probabely a higher priority as other freight trains, so it brings more stress to the operator to hold the scedule . best wishes for a safe and healthe weekend Ingo / Texrail

Hello Ingo/Texrail, I just have to write and say how wonderful your layout is, I really like how you've captured the wide open spaces - not that I have ever been there, only seen in various "Western" movies! I do like your trains too, I have modelled both the Texas & Pacific and Espee (in H0!) previously and am still very fond of them. Do I spy a K-M hood unit? Would that be a brass model too, please? Tschuss! John.

Hallo allegheny1633, you have sharp eyes! Yes, it is a Krauss-Maffei ML-4000. Unfortunatelly I could only afford to buy one loco but as a borne Bavarian it is a "must have". Indeed, it is a brass model. The second loco is, up to now, only a shapeways shell. I need a fitting chassis but don`t know which would work. Any comments welcome! Best regards, Ingo

It is still a long way to Paisano Pass but slowly my West Texas Project gains new territory. While the Texas & Pacific on the upper level arrives now Allamore/Tx ( and the later hidden staging loop ), the Southern Pacific climbs up the 1.5% grade to Marfa/ TX. Marfa will be on the other side of the aisle and is now heavily under construction. With a sharp eye you can see a SP Micado waiting in front of a samaphore on its way to Valentine /TX.
