Oh yes, I received your decals ! They are wonderful! Sorry that I didn´t answer for a while. I was on a boat trip arround Sweden for a week and hadn´t my forum password with me (grrr ). Now I´m waiting for the coaches from Marsilius-Trains. We are just discussing the right Blue for the EAGLE. In the Internet there are some times extreme variations in colour, on models as well colour pictures of the real EAGLE.

GREAT.....wonderful....keep in touch.....I have airbrushed three different models of the COLORADO EAGLE in KATO N-scale....I am still amazed that AZL decided to do no dining car....even though, not absolutely correct, it would be more correct than a train with no dining car! .... are you only in z-scale? .... I have many MP passenger cars.....THE EAGLE for some.....COLORADO EAGLE on others.....I am selling much of my layout and locomotives and cars..... if you would like an MP train (at least some cars) in N-scale, I would send them to you.....just a thought....let me know.....herb

Oh, no no no! No other scale please! I grew up with HO, Marklin of course, had as a student O scale and now Z and G scale ( the last for my future grand children ) and some real narrow gauge tracks ( 2 ft ) and a wagon for the woods. I like the Kato models and others, but if you you are going towards the 70th, you have to concentrate your efforts....

You concentrate like I do. Three things at a time. 😜

I really enjoyed looking over all your layout photos. The scenes are very convincing and you have a great eye for detail and overall consistency. One of the best Z Scale layouts for sure, and very inspiring.

But there is a severe problem: The telephon strings, made from E-Z-Line, are very sensitiv to UV-light! On places where the morning sun shines on my layout like this after 2-3 years the telephon strings look like this: What a mess! What can I do? Painting the strings to protect them? Cutting them all? Replace them by thinn wire?

The former Arnold catenary (made of ... rubber ! ) had the same issues, it became brittle and broke. What is the material Your wires are made of ? For myself I think it would be interesting to try one wire from multifilament wire ("Litzendraht") ; but You should perhaps fix it when temperature is LOW, so the length can only increase ; if wire retracts, it could damage Your poles ... It's only an idea, never tested.
