If this thread isn't already long enough at 7 pages, there was only 99 posts so decided it was time to break out with 100th! The Maxi sets come in a LONG (tall) package: The problem with most packages with blow-mold trays is the package end-closure flap doesn't go in (easily) when attached to the top of the package. You have to negotiate getting the flap's edge to go under the white tray's outward edge ! Märklin also suffers from this too. If the end-closure flap were folded up from the bottom and pressed into the package, it freely enters of the tray's upper rounded edge. To make the bottom entry work, I trim off the flat outward 'flare'so it is just straight down. About the thickness of a credit card. Now it slips in easy ! How did you fit the containers into the plastic mold? The latest AZL 40' containers don't fit at all. Bogdan

So, have we seen the last of the First Run of Maxi-I's? I sort of expected the "Old TTX Logo" run to be from the 750nnn-751nnn grouping. The numbers released fall in with your first SP/TT release, and for the most part represent a bunch of patched cars from various sources. No big deal to renumber them or just ignore it, but just curious. Just thought a six-digit number would be a nice contrast from the patched SP car.
I scraped and scratched and clawed and dug out change from the couch and managed to pick up seven sets of the Maxi-I's which is probably about the max (no pun intended) number for me. (1x TTX/SP, 1x BNSF Swoosh, 1x Maersk, 2x BNSF Circle, 2x TTX Old) If I buy more it would be possibly one Railbridge and 1 or 2 more TTX. But no more until a layout gets further along. If more TTX are forthcoming, I would sell off one of the most recent run.
