Dom, hook up the two wires to your layout, and you are done. Why does everybody think wiring dcc is complex. Its basically cut up a small square in your layout for the pcp (Power cab control panel I wire one of the wires to the CP6 for short protection, and the other to the track. Hook up the flat wire that comes with the power cab to the right slot. The Power cab comes with a coil wire that is used for a second cab and its hook up to the left slot. plug in the wall wart into the pcp, and power it up. That's all you have to do.

Don't read about dcc. Buy a powe cab and a TCS AZL4 decoder. You can read all you want, but you won't get it until you use it.

Rob, do you have the cross that separate the chassis on the first run of SD70's. I drop one and it went into the black hole. :C
Dom, when do you have time to play with trains with children under 14, girlfriends, and wives.

Contact Rob K. Maybe it's still under warranty, but I think they are almost identical. From what I know, there are at least two versions of the 7.5mm motors.

Patrice, you can either solder new longer leds or insert longer fiber optics to reach new shorter led position.

The problem is the Showcase miniature trucks don't belong with the cars, unless you are having a vintage car show.

I think you would lose the realism using the lighted signs simply because they don't look real. I disagree a little bit. Its normal this days to see a lot neon sign in businesses this days. What you don't want is to over use it, and make it look like Las Vegas. Also, I like what Townbuilder series did with their pizza and Chinese food take out building. I thought the backlit sign was great.

Patrice, You're right, from a "drop-in" decoder standpoint the two units are about the same. Some people report better BEMF control from one or the other, but I don't think you or I would really notice the difference. Mark Except the 123zo is not truly drop in. You have to shave off some of the solder on the pad.

It's probably a loose pc board. Try to reseat it. It usually takes about a day before Rob replies a email. It may take longer if he left for the nts.

I'm not sure if removing the inner bearing would solve the speed problem. It might, and then again it might not. Now if there was a way to remove the gearing and motor and just turn it into a non-runner dummy that would be terrific because I would like to run some long trains with a slave engine in the middle or at the end and at present, I can't do that with the engines I have because they all run at different speeds. NO I am not switching to DCC. If I had a dummy engine though, I could place it anywhere on my container train or grain train and it would look like the real McCoy. Perhaps in the future, AZL could produce some non-powered units for just such a purpose. What do you think Hans?
