AZL National Train Show New Product Announcement, Part 2Well, that is exactly why we pulled the plug on the AC4400, we are doing the ES44AC instead. With all the Heritage paint schemes, we just had to do it. Both Hi-Ad and Self-Steering trucks will be available as will other unique features such as different cab roof antennas. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

The Es and Fs will probably be released at the rate of 1 road name a month. No pricing information at this time. All F3s are sets, both A and B unit will be powered. Only UP, Milwaukee and ATSF E8s will also have B units (again powered). Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

Yes, we will eventually offer undecorated F units. First out are the F3A&F3B sets. Railroads: ATSF, SP Black Widow, B&O, GN, NYC, PRR Brunswick Green, D&RGW black&yellow, CN, Southern and UP. At one point we will offer early F7s, but at the moment no F9s are planned. As with the E units, we hope to have the first deliveries later this year. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

Hi Cliff, During the initial SD70/SD75 development 10 years ago we decided to include a sprue with different antennas. I suggest to use www.rrpicturearchives.net to find the cab roof antennas that matches your SD70/SD75. The colour of the antennas could be different than the sprue color as well. I will get back later on the Forum with an exact description of the various sprue parts. As locomotives have been upgraded, some of the antennas may not be in use any longer. Installation is tricky because of the small size of the parts. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

Even if we are approaching 20 different freight cars, we could easily add 20 more. The hard part is always to decide what comes next. And we cannot forget existing products. Both the Bay Window Caboose and 40´PFE cars are back in production. We are working on another run of PS-2 Hoppers. I am sure that the 2 freight cars we will announce at the end of next week in Cleveland will be more than welcome. This year we also came out with the UP CA-1 caboose (in brass). If there is a demand, we can quickly field other brass cabooses as well. Last, the GP30 will return as soon as we get the moulds from our other Chinese manufacturer back. That can take some time, but sometimes during 2015. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

Hi Frank, As Robert pointed out, each new freight car is a complete new project without any parts carryover. Trucks are the exception. The only identical parts we have found lately are some F and E unit parts. Since they are developed at the same time, they share some common parts like pilots. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

We are getting ready for a new run of our Bay Window Caboose (BWC). Quite a bit new roadnames (thank you for suggestions) and a few old ones as well. We even tooled some new parts. A first from us is that one of the BWCs have color coded trucks to match the body. Which railroad can this be? Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

CP Robert is correct. There are no CP SD70 or SD75 locomotives . We do have the CP GP38-2 and a possible GP7 in the works. We were going to release a CP Bay Window Caboose, but last minute colour coding has been a problem. It could have missed the production deadline? We will give an update of previously announced products during NTS in Cleveland this Summer. A few new products will be announced as well. There are some CP items among our announcements. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)
