Rob is correct about the SD40-2 being on our list. We actually started the project before we knew about the MTL SD40-2 (original release). Yes there are other locomotives we will make (3 different in progress not counting the ES44AC) before we tool a SD40-2. But we do not have a fixed SD40-2 sign off date and it surely will be including many different options.

We owe you an update. The first ES44ACs will be shipped from China at the end of May. As soon as we have the shipment in hand we will conduct quality control checks. If everything is OK, expect first deliveries 2nd half of June. The ES44ACs will be on display at the NTS (Aug 4-6) in Orlando. This year AZL will also be present during the Marklin days (Sept 15-17) in Goeppingen Germany.

Personally I hope MTL will stay around in Z. It is good for the scale and everything that is good for the scale is good for us at AZL. If they don´t, we will be sure to fill any vacant freight car gaps.
