We owe you an update. The first ES44ACs will be shipped from China at the end of May. As soon as we have the shipment in hand we will conduct quality control checks. If everything is OK, expect first deliveries 2nd half of June. The ES44ACs will be on display at the NTS (Aug 4-6) in Orlando. This year AZL will also be present during the Marklin days (Sept 15-17) in Goeppingen Germany.

Personally I hope MTL will stay around in Z. It is good for the scale and everything that is good for the scale is good for us at AZL. If they don´t, we will be sure to fill any vacant freight car gaps.

We now have about 25 different freight cars including the two caboose. We are not going to stop at that. It is rare that we do not have at least 2 freight cars under development which basically translate into two new freight cars a year. And there will be more box cars and reefers. Our locomotives span from 1920s USRA Mikados up until today. They need something to pull! And there are a lot of holes to fill and we intend to do just that. Sincerely, Hans

Yes, usually it is out of our control. Our manufacturer is relatively small, but good. We work with a tentative production plan and it does get changed often. If we delay a product, it is due to quality control. Sincerely, Hans

Well, we had a track project together with PECO that we shelved since Atlas did enter the Z scale track business. If Atlas develops U.S. prototypical switches, we see no reason to be in the track business. Locomotives and rolling stock will be our main priority. And thank you for casting your "locomotive votes". We are currently working on new products that are between 6 months and 3 years out. Should be something for everyone in our upcoming mix.

I think we had planned on 70 locomotives. Very few of those are left. I think we can get another 10 locomotives from the manufacturer, but that will be it. We do have flexibility to alter the mix between D&RGW and SP though. At least until the end of April.

Hi, Exact release dates for brass? Never get an exact date from the factory. We know that we will get the KM ML-4000 sample early May. If it matches the drawings and performed on the track we will give the OK for production. Unpainted? The run is basically sold out. But if anyone prefer their unit not painted that should not be hard to accommodate. Send an email to Rob Kluz. I would need to know by Easter if there are anyone who wants an unpainted ML-4000. Paint schemes: Only D&RGW prospector and SP bloody nose will be offered. (No discount on unpainted units)
