All first run railroads are fixed long time. The second run will follow probably at the end of 2022. It will consist of a rerun of the most popular first run SW1000 / SW1500s and probably 10 new railroads.

It is not on our short list. I think we will leave it for Shapeways for now

The F3 and F7 were done at the same time in 2013. We made different shells with interchangeable parts. Some of the parts also interchanges with the E7 and E8 locomotives.

AZL would have used Etched Grills if we had tooled the F7 today. Even if the Grills are correct for the early phase F7s, some of the effect is lost. And correct, the black roof line stretched to the windshield. Should be an easy fix for whoever wants to do so. This was not obvious to us at the time we OKed the artwork and maybe it was the 913 that threw us off track. (We prefer to be on the track as does all of us)

The CZ F3Bs had steam generators and I think the F7Bs that were purchased to match the FP7As had it too.

I did a last minute change to the Green WP before production. The pre production sample had painted Aluminum Grills. It looked awful and was changed to body color since it looked way more prototypical.
Back to the "4" WP paint schemes. What I consider the Zephyr paint scheme is the Orange and Silver with the winged logo in front. That was only used on the F3A and FP7A (as far as I know).
We may very well do the FP7 and FP9 down the line since they were widely used on US and Canadian railroads. And as commented above on the WP, yes the FP7As ran with F7Bs.
And last some good news for the WP Silver and Orange F7A buyers. We will also send you a new pilot painted Orange when it becomes available.

We chose to avoid the WP F7 in Zephyr paint scheme. All photos we have of that paint scheme shows the FP7, not F7. And yes we will be happy to do a Pumpkin 913, 914 or 917 down the road.

No, there will not be a CZ link. As stated, no F7s pulled the CZ. WP used F3s and FP7s. We did not tool the FP and it is a slightly longer locomotive that the F. I could also not find any green F7Bs in my research. Maybe we will do the full Orange paint scheme down the line.

Have not studied the Budd car, but stations will be sold as single products. If anyone know something about the SF Southern passenger car roster, please post to this thread.

Unfortunately the Lamy Harvey House was gone by the 1950s. A little early to think about other buildings, but the general store, church and a freight shed would make a nice cluster.

ATSF Lamy, New Mexico Depot
AZL have not done structures since 2009. It is not our main focus and there are several high-quality Z scale structure providers out there. But we are going to have a second try. So, I asked our longtime friend Andy Hart to have a go at it. This is new territory for him, but with his Z scale Panzer skills I am sure he can come up with a great product. Initial discussions have been on whether we should do a kit or finished model. It will be a finished model and will be made from a mix of resin and brass.
Now, why Lamy New Mexico? Asked myself the same question at first, so bear with my ramblings. Lamy was one of the 14 stops of the ATSF Super Chief. Both westbound and eastbound trains stopped during daylight hours. ATSF also ran the Chief and El Capitan on the same route. So for a railfan back in the days or a modeller, 6 passenger trains could be witnessed during a short 6 hour span. Below arrival times from the ATSF 1958 timetable:
Eastbound Chief 10:00 AM Westbound Chief 1:00 PM Eastbound El Capitan 2:11 PM Eastbound Super Chief 2:38 PM Westbound El Capitan 2:50 PM Westbound Super Chief 3:47 PM In addition ATSF "The Grand Canyon" would also make stops at Lamy.
Further, Lamy is right around the corner from Santa Fe NM. The ATSF Chicago to LA route passed 18 miles to the east of Santa Fe and a cut-off line was constructed between Lamy and Santa Fe. And there you have it! The fit for the Super Chief could hardly be better.
Now back to Andy and our AZL structure. Expect the price to be around $70-75. Initial volumes will be low with probably late 2021 delivery. We will make two versions, one ATSF 1950s and a current Amtrak era. Robert Kluz will start a reservation list and please let us know by mid May how many building(s) you would like and which version(s). We will work closely with the ATSF historical society to get colors and artwork correct.
Feel free to browse the web about Lamy. There is a great layout made by dane Carsten Lundsten in N scale that serves as an inspiration. On a footnote, the cut-off railroad to Santa Fe was recently sold. Expect great things to happen in Lamy since George RR Martin is one of the buyers!

Rest assure, we have submitted a rush PO for more ATSF F7s. Hope for late Spring delivery. As we have moaned and groaned about ordering quantities many times before, getting the quantities correct is and will always be difficult. But this time we are completely blown away with our own misjudgement. So if the second order of ATSF F7s still does not meet demand, I guess we can always order even more

Not AZL art. We posted a .pdf with all available art schemes a week or two ago. But reading between the lines (Trainini 2/2021) one can get the impression that we had the E7 tooling on hand. That is not true, since all the tooling was done early 2020. But the F7 we had on hand since 2013. Thus maybe the confusion.
