I hope to as well, though I think the little desert may be first as it's more complete. Just need those SW1500s

I don't know if there's anyone more excited than me about these locos. I've had two projects that have been begging for this loco, the little desert desktop and the waterfront switching layout. They both were put on hold as I wanted (needed!!!) a loco like this! John

Just for the heck of it I looked at some videos and some reviews over at Amazon. It does seem to work but many people say they'll leave it overnight to fully dry and in order to make it more permanent, then they'll add a bit of CA or epoxy on top of it once dry to really secure the connection.
I think if you're working in very specialized applications it could be useful, but for track I think I'd suggest lots of practice with a fine chisel tip on a conventional iron for a fast, strong and reliable bond. Once feeders are in place, you really don't want to be second guessing them.

The Cafe Bustelo effect has been the cause of many issues with the web guy, this wasn't one though... LOL. Speaking of which, I could go for a cup right about now...
Ok, graphic fixed!

On a personal note, I'm dying for one of the switchers. I've had this little layout bagged up on shelf... forever, waiting for something just like this! John

That really is a nice shot, makes fall (and the coming winter) a little less dreaded!

I am really looking forward to the new stack cars and have been running a long train last weekend to see how many we could run together and have just uploaded a film to You tube youtube.com/watch?v=TYfR0kghWvY I am not sure if it is best to run all the loco's upfront or in different parts of the train - for all those who run long trains, which way do you think is best ? Looks like it's on a video loop that's so long... nice job!

We had a local hobby shop on our Wall Street here in Huntington Village, NY. It must have been 1976 or or so and I had an N scale boxed set, Little Joe maybe? I ended up making free standing tunnel / mountain pieces and selling them to this local hobby shop. It was there I saw one of the Marklin display cases with the Orient Express set and it was like seeing the Crown Jewels behind the display case glass. Left with an 8800 as I couldn't afford the Orient Express The burger shop near the hobby shop, good burgers and they had a train running around the counter top! John

I've looked at both of these as they currently seem to be the two "hot" options out there. My 2 cents from watching enough video examples to make my head spin... the OSMO appears to be lighter and smaller, given its ability to fold up on itself for a very compact size when not in use. The Zhiyun appears to be a bit bigger, maybe bulkier but might also give a slightly smoother image just due to its size / weight. I looked at just the smoothness of the sample videos as I generally don't use a lot of the extra features.
I think they're both excellent options and don't think you can go wrong with either. I might lean towards the OSMO when its time for me to buy as the small size once folded makes it easier to throw in a bag / the car, etc. One thing you might want to look at, their use with a wide angle lens if your phone has a separate wide angle lens. With several of these gimbals, the main motor housing will / can show up in the videos.
