We are in a process of changing factories. That will delay the GP30 and RDC runs until end of this year. Sincerely, Hans

Sometimes we need a little help too! I personally wanted to see a SP Mikado, but I did not think they had any USRA designs. But yesterday I took a look at SP class MK-8, 3310-3314. They were acquired from E.L. & SW RR in 1924. Built by ALCO in 1918 as a heavy USRA! I have only found one photo (3310) and it sure looks like a heavy USRA. Could anyone help? Especially with photos and type of tenders. It could be that this is a wild duck chase, but right now I have a good feeling Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

I will not comment on this in detail, but consider the followings facts. Chinese salaries are highly competitive within China. No Model Railroad factories are able to keep their employees if the salary is too low. Chinese wages have skyrocketed the last 7-8 years. The Chinese state offer free medical benefits as well for everyone. The Economist have several informing articles on China. Good reading. I do not think the plant I visited are hiding much from US manufacturers. But, we are observing and evaluating conditions. When I got there, everyone was on their one hour lunch break. I also witnessed a Chinese work safety inspection that was being conducted.
We did produce the GP38-2 in the US earlier, but with few sales. Will we consider more US manufacturing? Sure, if any factory can offer us a complete package (design, artwork, packaging, production, innovative development and a reasonable delivery schedule). The price component is more a thing of the past. Sincerely, Hans (AZL)

As it happens, I am in China during final assembly. The only other product we have had that any of us witnessed on the line was the AC-12. I will be sure to post an update on this thread as soon as I have seen the Mikados. Sincerely, Hans

The Warbonnet will be back, this time as ATSF. Unfortunately BNSF have not yet done a wedge design for the SD75/SD70 so we are doing the Heritage II again. Sincerely, Hans

Thank you for bring this up. We had separate couplers in the beginning, but after all our modifications the only way to get our couplers is to buy our trucks. I am sure we will consider putting those back on the market.

We will not have the AC4400 ready for NTS this year. Hope to have production drawings / tooling photo of the F3A and SD45 instead. The SD45 kind of jumped the waiting line, leaving the GE product upset Sincerely, Hans (AZL)
