Nice looking DRGW heavyweights. May have to buy a few. Hate to say MTL F7 paint scheme loco would look better pulling them. Than the AZL F3 paint scheme loco . Wonder how far off paint color match on yellow is between two different manufacturers?
Now for the old Wendy's saying " Were is the BEEF " or " ES44ACe ". Hans commented they would be ready second half of June.

The new DRGW heavyweight release is starting to grow on me. ......Ski Train!!!!! They look better in person. Yup, the bit me. Have the F3 and 11 of the 18 on order. We used to live near Denver and taken the Ski Train several times up to Winter Park. Can't wait for the package to arrive. Maybe I need a a second DRGW SD45 to pull that train. Hmmm.......

....... Wonder how far off paint color match on yellow is between two different manufacturers? Even in the real world the same color of rolling stock differs over years because of wethering. So, some weathering of the scale models helps out. /Frank

Good move... The new DRGW heavyweight release is starting to grow on me. ......Ski Train!!!!! With the four black stripes, may be AZL had more a "Prospector" or a "Royal Gorge" in mind? markmcdowell.rrpicturearchives.net/showPicture.aspx?id=204081The perfect match is of course AZL's ALCO PA1 / PB1 ........... Best, Sven

Rob is right they do look better in person. Good enough that even though Rio Grand is not one of the roads I normally model, I've wanted to get a set ever since the first time I saw them in person. I was doing good fighting the urge to buy a set until I went to a train show 2 days ago. Then today i see Sven's post and checked out the PIC Now i am sitting here trying to decide which of the Heavy Weights i'm going to order. As for the Train Show's roll in all this, Well These followed me home 2 days ago.

The Ajin sticker is intact still sealing them in the original plastic wrap. I think its safe to say they are "Mint Condition New in the box"
