I was at M.B. Klein last week and can tell you first hand that they are in the process of installing a NEW POS (Point OF Sale) sales system and with well over 30,000 different product numbers to scan in it's going to take them some time to get everything inventoried Labeled, scanned into their new POS systems and put back up on the website.
Just give them a little time, those missing items will probably reappear once they are all scanned into the new inventory/POS system. You can always give them a call, their staff is very helpful.

Okay, gotch-ya! thank's for the heads-up guys. I did end up calling myself too...and, was told the same basic thing; it just seemed a bit odd for me at least, that no other brand and scale other than z scale + AZL, is being affected from what I am looking at...too many things and goings-on that just make you go hmmm? anymore.

I've been in Z for about 3-1/2 years, and I've never seen one dealer show them as in-stock, or give any hint that any were available. (and yes, I have asked) They routinely go for double MSRP or more on eBay, and they don't appear often. I did manage to purchase a used one, eventually, and got it for a decent price. Still, I find it odd that--all along--you had them in stock, unbeknownst to just about everyone including (apparently) your own dealers. Are you trying to be cool like In-And-Out Burger and have a "secret menu"? Maybe I should have hung out at the AZL booth more so I could learn the "secret handshake" or find out the Dark Web url.

If I read the lines below correctly, they have found some shells and upgraded them to locos again, Dazed, because they have no "really new" releases at the moment thanks to AFFA, but wanted to nevertheless create some noise in the market. And I hope that we see some more of the old UP engines as well, Rob!!! "AZL is excited to bring back our first run of SD70M and SD75i locomotives. Originally released starting in 2006, these locomotives brought modern 6-axle North American locomotives to the rails. The locomotives have been sold out for many years. We have had quite a few requests to re-release the original variants.
Using original shells that we had on hand, AZL has upgraded these locomotives and can now offer a very limited run of each of the first run of road names. The rebuilt SD70Ms and SD75is feature a new chassis (as used in the 2014 run of SD70Ms and SD75is), new trucks, AZL’s standard PCB, upgraded directional controlled LEDs and AutoLatch TM couplers.
Our first release is BNSF in the classic war bonnet paint scheme. Three road numbers are available:
6105-1 BNSF SD75i 8276 War Bonnet
6105-2 BNSF SD75i 8285 War Bonnet
6105-3 BNSF SD75i 8294 War Bonnet
Supplies are very limited. "Read more: azlforum.com/thread/1290/azl-september-2018-new-items#ixzz5QPUXdlHl

Correct. Nothing nefarious here. These locos were originally rejected for poor running. The company we worked with on these was prior to AFFA. Before we could arrange a return and rework of these locos, AZL stopped working with the company. The rejects sat boxed on a shelf every since.
In 2014, when we did the new run of SD70s with AFFA, we had extra chassis' produced with the intent of rebuilding the rejects. But since we 2014, we have had a steady string of new locomotive releases every month. The rebuild project was put on hold until we had an opening. Well that time is now. It is the perfect opportunity to rebuild these locos and get them back on the market.
I am personally rebuilding each loco. Each chassis is test run prior to the rebuild and after. It does take some time to do each, but it is worth it. For me, it is like seeing old friends again. Hey, I was the one who first test run these all of those years ago!
Yes expect to see samples of all of the original road names. But some of the road numbers are going to be extremely limited, or not available at all.

The only dealer I found, who had the rebuilt SD75i for sale, wouldn’t ship overseas, for unknown reasons:-( I hope to be luckier next time, with UP’s.

First rule about rare z_scale stock and AZL_underground inventory: You do not talk about rare z_scale stock and AZL underground inventory... #1:220fightclub. LOL, seriously!!! Ha, well I missed the announcement of the "refurbs" so now it all makes sense. AZL has done some bizarre things in the past so I just figured it was truly old stock. The refurb idea is a good one. If not for abandoning my plans for a large BNSF layout, I would definitely have been in for some non-flared "spartan" UP SD70M's and Iso-Cab BNSF SD75I in Heritage-II paint. (although, I'm guessing I wouldn't have had access to buy them if they're in such short supply...I don't "know a guy" like many seem to. Well, Anthony but I get the feeling AZL probably isn't giving him much access either.)
